So ive done a variation on that several times. Fight is moving along(could be any given fight). I go to type something between spells. Mechanic happens, and i break off typing to dodge. Character doesnt move, i eat attack. Look at chat, and my message is something like "and then we shwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww". Always funny, if a tad embarrassing. Hasnt happened to me yet with a QTE though.

It was so freaking funny we couldn't even be upset.

That is now going to be my sound effect whenever I button mash for any active time mechanic. Lol

CT raid stuff

Not sure if it's because the Crystal Tower raids are now a requirement or not but lately my Alliance Raid runs for them have been even more gods awful then they usually are. Both me AND my other half on seperate runs died to the second boss in Syrcus Tower (I didn't even know you could do that) and we saw mechanics I never even knew existed on Amon. People also don't seem to listen if I get put in B in WoD.(I'll say "B is for belly! When the purple balls come up let them cast Mini on you then after go to the goop puddle, don't go in goop before you are mini or you die") Cloud of Darkness also has seen me wipe a few time when people won't go into the meteor spots even after being told.

I had a Syrcua Tower run the other day where I was tanking all of the adds on the trash... as a Scholar. I also topped the DPS list for the first fight. I assumed it was because there were a lot of new people, and this was supported by people generally failing at mechanics the whole way through. When we got to the end, however, there was only a single map completion so that theory went out the window. That was a lot of people who had previously completed it being really bad at it.

Hada Qarn run that was a little slower than usual, but introduced some new Qarn gear that had me wondering if the Devs replaced the Aetherial pink gear form low level dungeons in 5.3 (if so than it truely is the end of an Era)

A healer threatened not to heal me in Praetorium because I had the audacity to press the elevator button without realizing one person was missing.

When's the last time anyone died to a mechanic in there?

Dear tank we had earlier today in Titania trial:

We realized you were not new to the trial, yet you asserted your paladin dominance over the experienced gunbreaker tank by yeeting Titania to yourself. You kept her out of the middle for puddles, which made the runes a bit trickier to deal with on timing and overall dps uptime; you would not be a good tank and pull aggro off of some of the dps, and instead insisted you run around the arena while the gnb tank desperately tried to save some of the dps; you then decided spinning Titania was a good idea, thereby getting me and a couple others cleaved; and the crowning achievement of all: continually standing in the vines and eating damage while keeping Titania all the way over in f*cking Narnia.

Somehow during the fight the gnb tank and the rest of us realized you were carried through as an offtank and had absolutely no f*cking clue what to actually do in the fight. Somehow this sort of idiocy spread to our other dps and our nin decided using lb3 at 100% was the perfect moment to use it. Second attempt through after our first wipe you did your 'I AM ME TANK' and ripped hate from the actual experienced tank for this run. You then proceeded to nearly get us wiped again until the gnb called you out on your bullsh*t. During the fight you would also not stack up for Flame Rune. Stack markers are 'shared damage' markers. Somehow during the second attempt the arena was set on fire. I'm guessing it was you ignoring mechanics again. This is not fine.

You were one very lucky puppy that I came in with two healer friends that know the fight and their jobs and dragged most of the party kicking and screaming over the finish line.

Do the rest of the PUG groups a favor out there: Don't be a dick and ask if the other tank wants to MT instead of just assuming you've got dem big boi pants on and immediately rushing after dat fae ass. If he does not, then you're it buddy. We hope you know the fight at this point, if not well, you've done f*cked up.

Just had a run of the new dungeon with a DNC with a returner icon who decided to become special during the last boss. We had a new healer so this DNC who was completely silent piped up suddenly with advice on a single mechanic: Get out of the holes before 8 stacks. Great, no problem. A bit random, but whatever. I add a clarification that you do need to be in the hole and we start. Everything goes fine until the AoE where the rocks drop down and everyone has to stack with their rock to absorb the damage. The tank gets targeted first, followed by me and then the healer. All 3 of us stay stacked with our own rock, the new healer even doing it without being told what to do. As the healer is being hit, I notice that the DNC has run over to stack with me. I try to run away but they follow me and.... well, you can see how much damage I took below when I became their substitute rock.

At this point I normally wouldn't have cared at all. Stuff happens. Right after I died, the DNC told us how the mechanic should be done, which was obviously incorrect since they just completely failed it by doing what they did. I quickly correct them in that shorthand middle of a fight can only type a few letters kind of way, since I've already been raised. A short while later we wiped due to the healer having a panic moment after both they and the DNC die to a raging strike and not being able to recover even when I raised them. No problem, they're new to the dungeon and both me and the tank were at like 15% hp anyway by the time they got back up so that's understandable. Now that the fight is over, both me and the tank explain the rock stacking mech in more detail. So far, I'm cool beans with everything so far. Not a great run, but nothing too annoying.

On the run back to the fight, however, the DNC proceeded to tell us how to do the rock stacking mechanic the way we had just told them as though they were not the one that had messed it up previously and had said that all along. Presumably they were telling the new healer how to do it and trying to make themselves look smart, but the new healer wasn't the one who screwed it up and told everyone the wrong way to do it so maybe just shut up and don't act like you know what you're talking about when 2 minutes ago you clearly didn't Ms. Dancer? I said nothing in /p but vented a little bit if /fc. The icing on the cake was that 80% of the way through the next fight they decided to lecture us about failing the hole mechanic after we all did it perfectly for the third time over the course of the 2 runs or even coming close to messing it up. It was too much for me and I got a little snippy.
