    Little sidenote, but I always imagined Chemist taking the "Edgy Healer" slot of they ever added one.

    I think there's a lot of potential if they gave it a Mad Scientist vibe à la Dr. Frankenstein and used gadgets like MCH in combination with potions to heal. Give those tools an overall theme of lightning when they're used to really sell it, especially as a defibrillator for their Raise ability.

    Have the whole Job, especially the Job quests (if there will be any) satirize/parody the Healer community mindset of "If they die they die/you will sit at 20% and you will deal with it."

    Not traditionally edgy like black flowing robes or shadow themed powers but at least drastically different in aesthetic From the healers we have now

    I can't say it's "on record", but I do remember hearing no to Necromancer due to Chinese hangup. Can't have heroes defiling dead bodies; Believe the in-game assets are even slightly different for undead/zombie type mobs.

    Having just reread the completed quest journal entries for that questline, The Taint itself is what was powering her necromancy with the reanimated Dragon.

    The Necromancer boss calling herself tainted makes a good deal more sense if Necromancy itself is a corruption or 'tainting' of aether. During the questing, the knights you speak to describe Alaqa as "Reeking of death".
    I don't see how SE could turn that it into a benevolent force for our PCs to use.
    Black Magic doesn't damage the environment simply by existing. As with White Magic, It's the overuse of it that lead to their respective banning. We can be Black and White Mages because it's established in both the Black and White Mage job stories that we are capable of using the respective magic responsibly.
    The Black Mage job quests even include a Conjurer from the Twelveswood sent to make you stop being a Black Mage, only for him to eventually understand that it can be a force for good in the right hands.

    If Necromancy is powered by tainting aether, as hinted at in the WHM quests, There's no way to use that 'responsibly' since any usage of it in any capacity would lead to tainted aether not just in the area the necromancy was used in, but if it gets into a water source (Which is the entire beginning plot of the questline) it can spread far and wide, dealing untold damage to whatever ecosystem it gets into.

    Pretty sure the Chinese XIV is heavily censored anyway so getting a hard "no" because of them is little more than a lying cop-out.

    I feel like Ranj'it is possibly hinting at a new job. That cool weapon and funky battle stance he has, might be a possible job for the future. I'm not 100% sure but I don't think any other job has a stance like that? Thoughts?

    why i am i suggest Medic first it more likely a job that could be seen in ffxiv it isn't found in any other ff games second it use ascept in really life like milatary service dog which if SE did use dogs these animal can be be glamourized to be many different breed german shepard husky. and ffviii dog Australian Shepherd (Angelo) plus who can't resist a cute doggie face in ffxiv. also like i said before it give SE time work pet jobs. also it could be possible new job for Alisaie her famliar could sudenly take the form of doggie. weapon of choice be hand guns for medic. it could a side skill of mix potion and put the on front hand gun and shoot them into the party as aoe heal and have the dog steal heal kits and sniff herbs.

    plus SE could rename the counterpart for example

    husky could be called Ishgard Husky
    German sheperd the Azim Sheperd

    Ul'dria get the toy dog.

    Not sure how it would be lying. Why would the devs risk losing that income; moreover China has been known to be somewhat vindictive, so why would SE risk their entire brand being blocked from China over a potential job?

    If it were an existing job and needing tweaking that’s one thing, but going to the drawing board specifically creating a job you know is going to cause more work than it’s worth? Foolishness.

    (Personally, I saw the bosses of the 5.3 dungeon as “most requested jobs we’re never adding”)

    New jobs, people have been hoping for Chemist for years. It's even an old FF job dating back to FF5.

    The dungeon bosses aren't new job hints. The first one is just a Rogue or Ninja that's using exclusively wind based attacks with references to older Thief weapons and skills. The Rogue job already in game is Thief, no matter how much you all may hate it. It was Thief in FF1, then in FF3 it was Rogue. Then Thief in FF5 again, with a lean on Rogue appearance. They're synonymous, son.

    The Necromancer is more of a nod to Palace of the Dead and Edda. Seemed like an alternate shard take where Edda is or becomes the Necromancer from POTD. The summon animation on her zombies is even the same, though she doesn't use self-reanimating gigas corpses.

    Distant Ideal - Berserker is literally just a WAR with a DRK weapon. I see it as sort of a joke based on how many people keep saying that WAR and DRK are the same job with different animations, these days.

    So like, maybe we get Chemist.
