They should not even be seeing it, and it does include tells. Yes, they will still go there. Teens are curious, and SE can be shut down in the US over it. I'm not saying I want FFXIV to be shut down. Adults have a responsibility to looks out for minors, regardless of forum. Adult responsibility does not stop just because it is online. It's not advertising to minors if it specifically says 18+. If you're not 18+, why are you going there? Where are the parents monitoring their children? This cancel culture nonsense is getting out of hand. Everyone needs to mind their own business and stop being a damn Karen.
This is not cancel culture. I'm opposed to cancelling, because it is silly. However, people having relations with minors is a major issue right now. This opens the door to it. All it requires is one known incident.

So instead of sitting here saying that you want something done, figure out what that something is. Because right now, there's no solution. As I stated before, ERP has been rampant in many other MMO's for years and there's been no alterations made to those games to stop it, probably because there's no way to stop it. The company would have to monitor every single player and that's just not possible. Banning people from party finder isn't going to work either as people will invent new ways to advertise it and as we all know, companies are not quick to adjust. They should not even be seeing it, and it does include tells. SE solution: Do not allow them to advertise in game. It does not take long to check every once in a while. Give warning we will do just that. Ban violators. Some people will likely defy it, get banned, and people will stop.So instead of sitting here saying that you want something done, figure out what that something is. ERPer solution: I would meet people for other purposes in game, and when I talk to them in Discord and realize they are adults, then maybe go from there. I would not put out advertisements on pf or fellowships, nor shout and especially not send random tells. I also would not ERP in public or in someone else's house if I did not have their permission, although that is rare.

Sex? In my Christian game?
And that's why there is a Terms of Service. That I mentioned in a previous post. This is not an excuse, because XIV has its own way of moderating this kind of language. Ask a GM, they'll tell you openly advertising sex to players is reportable. It's like- oh right no one reads the TOS ever.
There's a whooole plethora of predators in this game and I've seen receipts of people openly admitting to being minors and someone going in even harder on the deal. ERP Party Finders are just encouraging this with e-hooking up and forming communities with no real age checks.Right. But when it comes to things like ERP and such it gets a bit...complicated, especially with laws in various countries. Just because an interaction is "not rated" doesn't mean it's okay, or even legal in some respects. This really does have the potential to get ugly for SE.

Please stop is what i say whenever i look at PF sometimes ;(
One of the major underlying problems with these kind of party finders is that the game is available to minors. The content in the game has been okayed by the developers as well as external review-boards, user created content has not.
I've spent many years on Balmung, and seen multiple instances of adults going out of their way to groom underage players with this kind of content. A lot of these stripclubs and ERP bars knowingly or unknowingly have minors in their employ.
By refusing to even attempt to crack down on this kind of content, SE ends up being sort of complicit in giving these people a platform to do this.
What is FFXIV minimum age requirement?
Maybe it's because I'm still kind of new but I've never ever seen this yet. Only gold sellers in some cities.
I guess the difficult part is that unless you police every single player interaction, there is no way to prevent this, other than not letting people chat or something like that , that would have on it's own a lot of issues.
Maybe some special sort of report option that gets special attention? Could be potentially used by grievers too though.
