They misread the box when they purchased it... thought it said FFXIV2.0 ("Oh man a new FFXI, its version 2!!!")
Think in preparation to 2.0 and not just for the current version. The cities look massive in 2.0...just a thought.
I thought about this as well b4 I saw your post. With Magi-tek in game, why couldn't a story evolve around the addition of a motorized airship-esque like device(s) to use?
Otherwise I could really care less. I don't have issues like Rokien does where people constantly boot him from PTs for his unwillingness to get from A-B their way; that's ridiculous imho. Just let the man/woman do what they need to ffs.
Scandinavians, or people wishing to join a community of Scandinavian languages in FF XIV, please check my blog on Lodestone and submit a comment to make your interest known.
I really enjoy when people claim they are not lazy because the prefer their character in a game to walk. Seriously? Is holding a couple keys down really considered work for you?
Rokien I have a real question though. You seem to hate everything in this game and everything they plan to put in this game.
You have a thread pretty much about everything complaining about wanting it changed. Every suggestion you make is something XI had. This game clearly isn't going into the direction you want it to. So seriously why are you still here trying to change every single thing about the game?

I loved warp tarus in XI. In Uldah you don't need them, but LL and Grid you do. Eff haters. And this is something XI had, in Windurst the best nation ever.
Seriously?
If you've been around since the announcement of V 2.0 then you'd know. They're easing us into how 2.0 is going to work. This is all framework stuff.
Windurst has these warp npcs. No one bitches about those.
