Can we get a mogstation item that lets us start advanced jobs from level 1?

Can we get a mogstation item that lets us start advanced jobs (like MCH, AST, DRK, SAM, RDM, etc) from level 1?

I know most folks wont care, but I'd actually pay for this as a feature. . .
MCH, AST, and DRK are the most annoying since you cant access them until after you beat 2.5 and start HW content By then you can easily be well into level 60+

But I'd just love to play certain classes from level 1 and enjoy them start to finish rather than starting at 30, 50, 60, or 70 depending on what level they are normally accessible.

I'd literally pay for a mogstation item to let me do this!

They can't start at level 1 because the dev team has not designed any weapons for that level range and adding them would be a ton of work (wich is probably the reason why the new jobs start at a high level in the first place).

And how do you propose anyone using said item would be able to do any of the class training? ALL of the class quests and teachers for AST, MCH and DRK reside in a city you literally can not reach until you've passed through all of ARR and gotten to that expansion, thus unlocking the zone. Their quests also directly tie into Ishgard itself. Are you suggesting that they create new quests and new trainers down in the ARR zones JUST for these classes? That's a LOT of work for the devs, and also devalues some of the major points of those classes (Fray... The whole reason FOR the MCH and DRK classes?) People just have to get through the content, hopefully learn to play the game in the process, and then take on these new classes.

I understand the class quest part. Truthfully though, I dont feel like the "story" needs to change. The class quests could stay where they are and once your reach HW, complete them then.
As for the weapon part. That is problematic sure, but not out of the realm of just copying weapon designs that are already present and giving them stats on par with weapon level. Alternatively, can always do what they did with the Aethryte Earring and make a singular weapon that scales stats with your level.

This probably won't ever happen as it would really mess with the sense of progressing your character. Your character doesn't have the experience or knowledge to immediately jump into the game having completely mastered the Job it eventually progresses into. They would have to completely redesign all the class quests as well. This change would make literally no sense from both a lore perspective and a game play perspective.

To be fair, the 30-50 quests for all three HW jobs send you back to ARR zones because none of HWs areas are leveled for 30-50. I don't disagree with the idea of letting players get their hands on DRK/AST/MCH before clearing Steppy Pants, but not with starting from L1.

No. Missing the half of your kit that is, reasonably might I add, locked behind job quests is not fair to the people who would have to hard-carry you through every piece of content from Haukke Manor until you get to Ishgard.

Half of DRK's weapons are just resized PLD ones anyway... Still don't think it'd pay out for the devs, though.

The "advanced" jobs are also not really balanced properly for the lower levels either, particularly for the SB/ShB jobs.

DNC and RDM blow the other ranged/caster DPS out of the water when sync'd down below their starting level due to bloated potencies.

This is one of those things that's really too late to be changed. Most of the later advanced jobs are simply not designed/balanced around very low level play. You can easily see this by taking classes like RDM and DNC into floor 1 Palace of the Dead. While they technically still work (any class does, just in case you end up in a dungeon like Sastasha), there's parts of their kit that really look like they were not designed around a steady progression starting from level 1.

I do understand the sentiment though, and wish everything started at level 1. But I don't ever see them making adjustments to this end.

I can appreciate the want to be a certain class from the start, but fortunately you’ll lose very little with the system as is outside of Heavansward.

For most higher level jobs, they unlock at the same level required to unlock. So get to 50 monk, unlock 50 red mage! In addition, post Heavansward, all new jobs so far have been unlockable in the starter towns...so it would seem a lesson of sorts has been learned from 3.0.

It’s not ideal for you I know, but the current solution really is either A) play a similar job to get used to how the role works or B) play something different so you have 2 different roles you can be more versatile.

All that said, too late for it but I wouldn’t hate the 3.0 jobs being unlockable at 30 in starter towns... but probably not worth the effort to the devs

Palace of the Dead? You can start your favorite job there at lv1.
