Just got out of a Eden Shiva run where the only person from my world was the scholar. literally everyone else was from a different world than the next.

We wiped to the crystal transition phase due to a misshap on the other side, and my off tank pal was new. and yes of course one of them was from excalibur and of course they're the one who dropped at the first wipe. but we never kicked them and decided to gun for it with only 7 people (3 dps, the dropper was a dps.) and while it took long enough for me to see the Dance at the end (Shiva light form does an attack that's Scythe then Axe kick. i had no clue. normally we super phase skipped due to dps burn in legitimately all my other runs and i never knew she did that.)

it was pretty rocky, but props to our dps working with a man down and one having never done melee for Shiva before. I gave short inserts on what was expected for the crystal phase, the meteors and the end. got to have absolute Zero go off about 7 or 8 times at the end. we got it on the second pull. So proud of everyone who stuck it out even with a man down meaning no LB3 clutches if we messed up again.

Strangely everything got way better second pull. i almost could say i wouldn't have had to say anything at all. i got 2 comms though. i felt like they probably should have gone to someone else though. all i did was face tank a boss really.

Honestly this one is a tank fight over a DPS fight.

Talked to the other tank before pull. Told him to main tank unless I provoke for major mechs(sword and shield and bow). Barely any deaths and 1 shotted her. Great group and a few people got their clears

Astrologian into Leveling Roulette. Tam Tara Deepcroft. Three sprouts who had never done it before. It was very fun watching them figure everything out for themselves. Like in a wholesome way, not some laugh at the noobs thing. Took the tank the first couple pulls to hold agro on everything without one peeling off to come at me. When the first priest died you could tell they weren’t expecting that demon to spawn, and once it was dead watching one of them check out and turn off the orb. They were definitely ready for the second demon. Every time a chest drops a piece of gear at least one of them stopped for a minute. Pretty sure they were doing item comparisons to see if it was something they wanted and making decisions. Get to the barrier and there’s a pause as they check it out before continuing on to the rosary room, which they did then get and promptly go back and crack the barrier open. When the last boss did his invincibility thing they hit him several more times before turning to the imp. Except for one, I think the Thaumaturge just kept focusing on the main guy. I know there was one point where I definitely saw him attacking the boss while an imp was still alive. All thruout the Arcanist apparently didn’t trust my healing because he would toss one out as well if the tank got down around half hp. But yeah, all in all another fun run.

Today I learned in a random Dusk Vigil party tanks are either still too hesitant to use their invuln as DRK or don't remember they actually have one.

In the same party I learned that, as MNK, I can tank the first and second bosses for 7 seconds with Bloodbath, Second Wind, and Fists of Earth sans healing from the AST. It was fun, and I don't want to do that again.

This happened quite a while ago.
The Twinning as a Bard with DRK, WHM and BLM.
The DRK is new to the instance and I guess a new player overall since they only had 1 job max leveled and 2 or 3 at 50-60.

The first pull is nothing out of ordinary since it path is gated. HOWEVER!
The WHM just cast Holy once and then jump around. Sometimes casting Cure 2 when the tank HP dropped.
On the next platform, it seems the DRK intend to do single pull.
I don't mind since it was his first time. But the WHM ran past and rescued him to the next trash. DRK just obliged.
Again, WHM cast holy once and jumps around. Circling the pile of mobs. Put dots. Cure 2. Then jump again.
The BLM stood idle in front of the mobs for a bit. Only start to dps after like 5 GCD.

This continued on for the entire dungeon. The DRK eventually pull more after the first boss. Only because the WHM was way in front of him, I thought.
The BLM always start dps after idling for a bit. WHM with the single Holy then alternate between jump and casting Cure/solace. They only stopped doing it and finally play properly during the last boss. Nothing went wrong though. It was just annoying to see people act like that in DF.

I checked the WHM and BLM bio after the instance.
Apparently, all three of them were from the same FC.

Do Mentor Roulette, join in progress 11m. First thing I see in chat "we're doing pretty well with one healer" and then I'm immediately tank buster'd on entry by Titan Extreme. I've never healed Titan Extreme before, so this was an experience. We cleared it and that's with two DPS and the other healer down where the HP stays down.

Earlier I got Omega via join in progress and I could see why the previous healers left. The tanks didn't dodge anything. Not even the giant fists (which are a one shot attack!) and didn't take the OT tether away from everyone. When this happened every time, I just gave up and was so happy to see the Vote Abandon pop up.
If we had a SMN and/or RDM, we probably would have cleared it since that's two extra Raisers, but it was just me and a SCH and we were constantly raising these tanks

Just spent about thirty minutes in Dohn Mheg with this WHM who did nothing but stand there spamming all of their healing skills. All of them. Cure 1 to III. Medica I to Medica II. Kept using Plenary for no reason at all. Was constantly out of MP. Even saw some Esunas being thrown out despite nobody having debuffs.

Was interesting.
