The penalties are fine the way they are in my opinion. SE isn't about to change them. Personally I think they need to add leave penalties to Ocean fishing so people can't just go right back and queue for another boat.

That's a new one O.o genuine question but why? It's faceroll easy now - I cleared the last boss with like 14 people on that day when almost everyone got dc'd at once a few weeks ago

That's exactly the problem. As a healer, it literally highlights weak points with this game. There's nothing to heal, especially the first boss the healers can do absolutely nothing and the entire party will come out alive. At some point there's a difference between "this content is pretty easy and relaxing" and "this is literally 100% unengaging and a waste of time after seeing it for the 50th time" and Void Ark sets the standard for utterly boring.

A friend warned me about Crystal Tower just before I unlocked it and so I never did. I think now that they're making it mandatory I'm basically going to stop queueing for alliance roulette entirely.

Okay, this entire thing is nonsense and probably bait, but one thing genuinely bugs me:

If people are expected to read warnings such as buying the right equipment and dealing with 1 time item restores or, sending the wrong mog station items to the wrong character, or accidentally making someone master of a Free Company and them stealing everything, then you should also be equally responsible for reading the correct party finder, and queue'ing and entering the correct duties.

You can't really compared these. Even if people already queue df or join pf correctly, there is still possibility that they might have to leave due to real life circumstances. Getting 48 hours penalty for leaving duties due to something urgent or unprecedented happening in real life is ridiculous.
