About to finish leveling trust npcs. After that I might cap my last tank job and continue leveling MNK without playing it by doing the frontline challenge.

"After ten years, finally headed to Sharlayan... absolutely stoked"
Well yesterday I Leveled WHMa bit using roulettes, (PvP roulette helped got me to 70), did the Job quests and also did sidequests in Rak'tika for it becuase I can.
Then I did a Ravel run because AST was a little under-leveled to finsih the arc's final quest. Also did a few Swallow runs trying but failing to get a few coats.
On the plus side, be happy that XI only makes you complete some pre-quests and not full story/MSQ like XIV. :3
GEO has adorable AF too! Enjoy![]()
oh so I don't need to all of the Bastok Missions for RoV? and other expansions?
I'm really enjoying FFXI alot, it's much of an adventure than XIV and now after entering duegons in XI and exploring them, I have a strong dislike for FFXIV dungeons or what I call them ( Linear Hallway simulator) especially XIV dancer ( I main DNC/WAR in XI)
love being able to heal using TP and well tanking if I need too, my Curing Waltz IV and Devine Waltz saved my asses plenty of times

Contemplated changing BRD/DNC glam again.
Did Expert Roulette as BLM. Good, short run. Wish it had gear I cared about. (Got to use LB on megapull though, so that was nice).
Did Alliance Roulette as WHM. It was Rabanastre which is usually fine but no one knew/remembered the mechanics so we came very close to wiping many many times. At least once my whole alliance was dead but we scraped through because none of us wanted to quit and reque. (Thank you, RDMs)
Repaired because my healer set was scragged after that.
Did Eden:Refulgence NM as BRD. Finished without incident (thankfully because it was a 15 min que). Got what I rolled on.
Logged off to switch to another game. Typical weekday :P
With any main quest line (CoP, ToaU, ZM, WotG etc), they will have some requirements in place, but generally do not require a 100% full completion of past quest lines. The requirements come in the form of needing to be a certain level, several want you to be a specific rank in your main city, some do require you to have a quest line completed up to a certain point (I believe only one requires an almost full-completion of a prior quest line). It can vary quite a bit depending on which story you're on. If you are newer to the game, there may definitely come a time where you have to stop what you're doing to go fulfill a requirement (like right now with RoV!), but it's typically not TOO bad.oh so I don't need to all of the Bastok Missions for RoV? and other expansions?

In case you don't already have these for a reference, https://ffxiclopedia.fandom.com/wiki/Main_Page and https://www.bg-wiki.com/bg/Main_Page will be your source for most info. I find the ffxiclopedia to be better for a lot of the older content while BG seems to have more updated information on the newer content released in the past several years. Also, if you haven't already, the FFXI subreddit is really quite helpful and has a lot of good information for new & returning players.
But yeah, I think XI is an amazing game (once you get past fighting with menus and controls @.@). Glad you're having a good time there![]()
