    I miss Deep Dungeons.

I've had so many great memories trying to go to the max floor with friends.

The randomness of it all, the traps that put you on edge, the summons and the pomanders, the boss fights, the time limit.

    All of that.

And also the solo mode, I'm still trying to get the title: The Necromancer. And it's great fun.

I haven't personally used it to level up much, but because I actually enjoyed it. However, being able to level through it was a great bonus.

Before Shadowbringers even came out, I was looking forward to it. Some of us who did PotD and HoH were planning to go back into it this expansion.

And now we don't have one at all this expansion.

I'm disappointed that we didn't get a warning in advance that they were cutting it out, they told us we wouldn't get the extra dungeon, why no warning about deep dungeon being cut out? Did I miss it?

Is it a delay or is it just not coming back forever?

Am I the only one who enjoyed this or is there more people who were looking forward to it? I personally looked forward to this more than any relic.

I hope we will see a return of it before 6.0 or at least an announcement for 6.0.

I don't think it's been confirmed we won't have one, but it's too soon for one anyways. Maybe mid 5.3 or 5.4?

Trusts are a form of leveling but they're way too slow and time consuming to be a comparative method, so I doubt we won't get a deep dungeon because we already have trusts (unless they massively increase the XP gain, give the NPCs an AoE rotation, and also boost their overall damage)

In a schedule PotD and HoH came out in 3.35 and 4.35 respectively. We recently only got 5.25.

While Yoshida said something about new deep dungeon not being planned (somebody on Forum mentioned it, but I don't have the source for this statement of his), but it's not like they never changed their plans, so right now, almost 3 months before (or even more) we get 5.35 it's a bit early to make any conclusions as to if we will or won't have new deep dungeon or something instead of it, imo.

Yoshida in regards to a 5.0 deep dungeon: "I 'm sorry, because I'm making a lot of new content, the production cost to go here has disappeared. Actually, I wanted to have a place for leveling in case the next extension package came out ... Even though the project has been completed, the cost of making it is not currently available, so I'm thinking of taking a day off in the deep dungeon. I'm preparing for ranch-like play that I've been talking about for a long time, and since patch 5.3, I'm going to have a lot of content mainly for living."

Here's what made me think there wouldn't be one:

I enjoyed Deep Dungeon content so it's a shame to see it go (for now, at least) but curious what the 'ranch-like play' might be like.

Ranch, huh? I suppose it will be DoH/DoL content (they really get a lot of attention this expansion... which is cool, because normally they didn't get almost any at all), but it actually sounds intriquing.

But seriously I loved POTD/HOH. I was hoping we might get to go explore some Ronkan ruins or something underwater.

If it happens it does, but i'd rather not. Found it boring as hell the deep dungeons. And for leveling, you dont even have to learn your class in there. So we got an influx of max levels with their padjali or ther weapn not having a clue as to how to play. No thanks please
might be something if the xp reward was either lowered or removed and some decent rewards put into its place.

This is largely my take on it. I like the idea of POTD/HOH, but a few things really just didn't sit well with me regarding them.

    - If you didn't do them while they were current/most relevant, you'll have a hard time leveling up your Aetherpool gear. This is largely due to people with red weapons rushing through for exp only, and you have the choice of going with them and missing tons of chests, or potentially slowing down the run/getting people pissy with you for trying to level up your stuff. This in turns makes you less useful during these runs because you can't power up your gear.
    - The big one, you don't actually learn anything about your job. I used to try to use POTD to get a feel for how my job would play, but quickly learned that because the content had to be tuned for a group of 4 DPS to be able to clear, how you play a Deep Dungeon differs greatly from how the entire rest of the game plays. As such, it was only even halfway decent for arranging your hotbars, which you can do outside anyway.
    - Too much random. All the random curses, not getting decent pomanders/getting the same one duped 6 more times after you cap, randomly stepping on a trap that can explode and one hit squishy jobs, etc. The least problematic thing all told, but I'm not a fan of RNG to begin with, so it always sticks with me when I think of Deep Dungeons.

All in all, much like Eureka, interesting concept, but the execution was a little bit of a miss. Fortunately I have Squadrons to level to 60, and Trusts from 71-80, so only that 60-70 gap is painful. Ironically, still less painful than bothering with Heaven on High.
