We also have to remember they added relic tools to grind out as well, though I'm not 100% sure what that entails.

1H content is perfect for me.....I like it! & actually enjoyed how it was done, very impressed!.
As far as Grind on Grind there is other mmo's for that & they do it better & more "Balanced" content & the don't lock you out & leave gaps in stats when you level beyond like FFXIV does & has done since ARR. (legacy player)
But I do see some good points online, DOH/DOL to grindy, DOW/DOM not grindy enough at least by comparison.
Eureka though... No. Eureka content as stand alone would be ok, but not for progression equipment in this game, because the "Japanese Rinse & Repeat ethic" (If you have an issue with "this" i highly recommend you watch Gaki no Tsukai ya Arahende!! 2012-2020 new years specials to learn its non-debatable Fact! with no ill-will. or play FFXIV...& keep an eye on each patches content/gear) in this case of gear every 3-4 months makes it a useless endeavor before you even begin for anything beyond crafting materials. Probably why diadem/rebuild worked so well..... Don't even need hindsight to see that one.
If you enjoy the game as is, good for you.
But the sun often shines brighter outside of the well.

Huge dissapointment.
I was waiting this patch because I like doing relic weapon.
I was ready to do a bit of farming and common relic stuff.
And... there you go, get your relic and wait til next update.
Really..?

I died to the first boss, it does allow you to go back in at the midway point.
I don't understand people's complaints. Do people not remember Zenith weapons? Awoken weapons? If anything this had way more meat on its bones than any of those, at least it was actual content instead of FATEs. Plus, we haven't had 2 EX trials in a patch since 2.2, and this is the most relevant having two has ever been.
Welcome to every relic introduction the game has ever had. Its nothing new

Oh the grind is coming you can be sure. I'm happy to see the weapons are relevant at 485 with 5 materia slots. I have lots of roles so getting them for those is neat and lot of alts as well. This I think will get a lot more people started with relic given the first step is easy. They said it would be and it is.

Not surpised at all that its short. They have given us Expert recipes, ishgard restoration and ocean fishing. So one or more pieces of content was going to take a hit somewhere, sadly for FF14 its a game of give and take between us and the devs. Until SE gets off its rear and gives the team more resources and better support we are stuck with what the team can give us.
Note: Taking advice from a players alt, is like taking advice from a voice in a dark room. Criticism is a two way street remember that!!
The hit that we supposedly already took was less dungeons per patch and no ultimate in 5.3. Also Ishgard Restoration was just collectibles and slightly repurposed diadem with actual rewards. Hardly what I would call "new innovative content worth trading a good relic step for."Not surpised at all that its short. They have given us Expert recipes, ishgard restoration and ocean fishing. The relic itself has never been hard, just grindy. This is just less grindy which imo is not a good precedent to set.Oh the grind is coming you can be sure.
