0 DPS healers at 80 boggle my mind, like how did they hit 80 without casting a single damaging spell?

And I feel kinda bad using my cooldowns on big pulls with them, it's like "dang, guess I'll just uh, take a beating...give you something to do I guess eh?"

And now theyre stressed out because youre taking too much damage, so they feel even more justified in never touching those "dirty" DPS skills. You cant win. Id rather run my roulettes with a single pull tank then a stand and do nothing healer. And as a BLM, single pulls hurt my soul. Id tell the tank to pull the first boss(plus everything before and in between) all the way to the second one if i could. I long to flare everything that moves until it cant move anymore, then foul their corpses while thundercloud procs rain continuous lightning from above. All the AoEs, all the targets, all the time! But a do nothing is still worse.

Well, last night I finally got one of my characters into Royal Menagerie, the trial where you fight Shinryu.

I had a bit of an idea of how the fight was supposed to go for the first phase. Apparently the rest of my group forgot something important.

Tidal waves that shove you off the platform can spawn behind you.

I saw him cast it, I saw it behind us with my FC mates and randoms. I was the only one to move.

I bore witness to seeing 7 people yeeted off the platform except for me.

That happens almost every time unless someone reminds the group. He only uses that ability once and it is the first thing that happens. Funny story, the last time I did this I reminded the group and everyone did it correctly... Except me who moved to the right spot but stood just a bit too far from the edge. I swear it was just a pixel too lol.

I tend to forget about the walls breaking when you fight the 30ft Grasshopperlocushorsefly Primal. He's Babe Ruth'd me a few times.

Zone into Pagos during Blizzards. "Damn, I'm late, Cassie probably already spawned, or the instance will be dead." Sure enough, Cassie is up, and already at 50%. "I can still make it, and I could party up and probably still get gold... but I don't really party up these days..." I get close at around 80% but pull aggro on trash outside. "Eh, I'll just skip the fight and kite these around, don't wanna be one of those players dragging extra mobs into the chaos." De-aggro the trash, and see the FATE sitting at 99%. "Hm, maybe they're waiting on someone after all, I can at least watch the end." Confused/confusing shouts in chat. I end up aggro-ing more trash on the way back, as I realize Cassie has wiped EVERYONE. At 99%. "I'm a RDM, I could save the day! I'll just kite this trash around the arena and hopefully de-aggro, it'll be great." But I forget there's no level sync for Cassie. The two adds aggro me as soon as I hit the FATE line, I've still got trash on my ass, aaand, I'm dead. On the floor with everyone else, despite not even participating. If I had known they wiped, I mighta been more careful getting through.

Cue the sullen releases, de-levels, some stay down waiting for a rez. The adds are still sitting there, waiting to pounce on anyone that gets in range trying. Circle the arena from the outside, rezzing anyone I can reach to safety. Enough are up that the adds finally get burned down, everyone takes a moment to reset, and I finally get to be in for the Cassie fight, despite showing up late.

Still no earrings though.

I backflipped off the ledge the first time I went against Titan as a Red Mage.

Only recently unlocked Ampador to get my first Relic Weapon, managed to not get knocked off fighting the wall even though no one told me that was a risk. Confused me a moment the first time when we lost one of the DPS to it and I couldn’t find his corpse to res. Have lost one or both DPS to the ledge every time I’ve done that fight.

Sadly he's not anymore they even nerfed the knock back it's not there anymore it used to be one of the most fun fights back in 2.0 when it first came out with the bees and knock backs now it's nothing.

Edit: Nvm the knockback is still there you just can't negate it anymore but still he's a chump.

Just last night I used Disengagement on Ifrit: Part Deux just as he ran forward to go do something in the centre of the arena from the edge, and instead of jumping backward into the arena, I instead leapt forward off the edge because his hitbox had moved just far enough behind me. The funny thing was if I had done it a split second sooner it would ha e worked, and a split second later and he would have been too far behind me and out of range for it to work. Worst (best?) possible timing ool.
