I find it frustrating that we are three days into a new patch, and people will insist on giving a complete break down of all eden mechanics at the start of an eden match. When it's this new, it shouldn't be an issue to want to do it blind.

I tried to do Eden 6 for first time this evening, and as soon as I got in, the other player started to explain certain mechs. I asked for them not to, got a load of 'wtf' and 'wot the hell' from other players, and then when I died (because it's new content, of course I did), I got goaded with 'still don't want tips' followed by a list of key mechanics and how to avoid.

It's three days in, people. It's not entitled to want to do it fresh.

Contrast it with an awesome Ramuh, all new people, all puzzling out the mechanics, and the difference was night and day.

That's a video for E5. It is literally five minutes and 33 seconds long. You mean to tell me you can't take five and a half minutes - hell, while you're waiting in a queue - to watch a video? I mean, just to get the basics down? Of course you're going to die on new content. I died. That's not the issue. But just learning the basics makes things go smoother. And again, I'm an average player. At best.

And it's awesome when people give out tips. I don't understand the mentality that just because something is new you should just be able to go in blind, and then be annoyed when someone actually explains the mechanics. That is just...super weird.

I never said you were entitled for wanting to do it your way. I said it was super weird that you got annoyed at someone giving out tips precisely because it's new content. I'm guessing that's why the people in your group reacted to you the way they did when you died.

Just finished Eden Furor first time (blind) and man it was frustrating! At first I didn't really notice it until the aoes started dropping, and it got progressively worse as I went on. LAG. AND I'M ONE OF THE HEALERS. I was getting hit by things I wasn't in, abilities weren't going off when I hit the key, it was a nightmare. We were all mostly learners so it wasn't too bad, but it was so dumb. Like I knew there was something wrong at the start, like it would try to hardcast my raise even though I had just hit swiftcast. I had never seen my abilities go so slow! Cleared after a few tries, but still. Man that sucked! Apologized, rightfully lost my loot roll and came here.

I couldn't even compliment the bosses shoes while I was dead! Ruby weapon is wearing these sweet Jordans with a perfect smile, so lots of material for a bit.

Just had my first Furor run. First attempt we had a healer who spent most of the first attempt not healing. Or dpsing. Or casting at all.

That and the four attempts following it were extraordinarily painful. I didn't do so hot myself, but there were a lot of deaths that would've been avoided with literally one cast of medica.

It doesn't help that something about the wild spinning walls and bright flashy mechanics actually had me feeling nauseous. Definitely not my favorite fight so far. :/

I'm so glad that I cleared the Normal raids on day 1 before videos like this made the rounds. I got to escape impatient attitudes like yours.

Alright 3 times now...3 times I have ran into Scholars who are letting their pets do the majority of their healing This is happening in Eden verse by the way I am not knocking on the scholar class I think its awesome. No I am getting irked by people playing it who are trying to let their pets do 99% of the healing for them. Your pet is their to assisst you with healing not do ALL THE HEALING!!! Really blood boiling when the raid takes huge Aoe hit I pop Aspect heilos and whats the scholar doing...boil..boil *sighs* Is it too much to ask that you pop Succor please. If both tanks are super low on HP at same time for whatever reason, target one and press Adlo I will even throw a Celestial intersection on them if makes you happy. Just dont leave me blowing both of my Essential dignitiys.



To the good Scholar players out there I love you guys and gals, hope I run into one of you at some point instead of the ones I am running to now.. Excuse me why I go cry in my beer now

Not a vent, but something sweet~

A few days ago, I was in a full party where I was the only sprout (that makes this ... around four times in a row by now) and my anxiety shot up through the roof right away because of this. That, and this was my first time doing the dungeon (it was Doma Castle, MSQ). As I always do, I informed the party whether or not this was my first time running the dungeon, then braced myself for the verbal backlash that I had grown accustomed to since the last few times that I've found myself queued up parties where I'm the only newb. Well, you can imagine my relief when these people weren't like those bad apples at all! Several of them even complimented my outfit, and the party leader told me not to sweat it and to just play my role accordingly. They explained the boss mechanics to me, I had a fun time, and I really hope I'll be able to meet them again! My only qualm is I couldn't give all of them player comm --- they left that much of a positive impact on me ♥♥♥

Sidenote: one of my server's NN mentors has commissioned me for art offsite, and she crafted me a wind-up Magnai --- all of which has made my day all the better!
