Ocean fishing is horribly designed

Did it 3 times. Almost always caught the same fish, very exiting....
Had the special weather 3 times. Nothing unusual caught.
Only 1 fish that I can use with the Aquarium.
Leveling is quick.
But man is this Job boring. Since I don't know what to do with the fisherman at Max Level anyway, I leave it.
But I think it's good that Max Level Fischer get a cool mount. This boring job and wasting your life on such a horrible content deserves something special if one has the nerves to make it to level 80 and then going after the mount.

I think the main problem is that it's too difficult to trigger spectral currents if the specific time/weather conditions that increase the appearance of spectral fish are not available.

If none of those spawn, the only thing you can really do is pray that some intuition fish spawn so you can at least get some white scrips out of the trip.

Majority wanted dungeon taken away and given this fishing content, so here we got enjoy.

Honestly, i'm glad they did it still. It's better to have them change up the formula and miss the mark(which I don't believe they completely did) than it remains the same constantly and ends up boring, stale, and repetitive. New things are good!

I don't really know how many times I've done the ocean fishing since release but something needs to be done about the horrible RNG in it. There were few times I've got the special fish during the fisher's intuition and not once did it trigger a rainbow current... and other times I can't even get the fish needed for the intuition. I really want this mount since I've always wanted a shark mount but my bad luck and RNG is not helping.

Also can we get PoTD/HoH style Sustains for GP regen cause having use my 3-4min CD Cordial is annoying.

The content has its issues, and could stand for some improvements, I agree. Inventory issues and some sort of RNG management comes to mind.

That being said I'm mostly happy with what we've got. Seems evident that it'll be abandoned by people pretty soon though. Which I guess might be fine if its balanced in a way that a 8 man premade can get everything out of it.

As a word of warning, if you join a group and register for the boarding but someone goes AFK or refuses to accept the registration then it counts as a penalty for everybody in that group. Unfortunately some people seem to be using that to their advantage to cause trouble.

I personally really enjoy ocean fishing.

That being said, I do think it's a bummer the fish we catch don't have any use to them.
I noticed people trying to sell them at outstanding prices but for what ? The only thing it can be used for, as far as I know, is recycling. It's a shame we can't trade them for rewards or something like that.

Yeah, they also don't appear to desynth into anything special. I tried and I just got a bit of bait, some fine sand and water crystals. The print system is a decent addition at least though it doesn't really take many fish out of the economy.
