Her lips and eyes are larger than your normal midlander females and the black lipstick just makes it stand out more.
Looks like an adults face on a kids body the proportions are definately off enough to stand out. Gaia is seeminly the same age as Ryne too, maybe they'll adjust her down the line but her looks are definately off enough to be quite noticable.
It is true to Nomura's art of her. Gaia's eyes and lips are very large in her concept art, even though Nomura's style usually has smaller eyes and :3 lips. I don't think he did a lot of research into the game itself though, seeing as how he gave her a hammer, and then added a note of apology later, because we had no hammers.
I'll say the first part of the fight in normal was great, the cutscene was fine, but what came after felt very short. Compared to the flow of the rest of the eden fights e8 feels like its missing something at the end.
Like it was very in your face missing something. People in party chat going "that's it?"
It was a very beautiful fight, mostly aesthetic imo. Redress was a super pretty mechanic. I loved it, from the art design to the music. I'm just sad we'll never get Ryne/Shiva's outfits. These are really gorgeous.
I agree though...The fights are fun but lately, I've been finding myself becoming more and more less interested in the story itself...Hell, I pretty much skipped through most of the cutscsnes in Eden this time around bceause I really don't care about the primals much and Gaia annoys the hell out of me. But then again, I'm not surprised seeing that she was designed by Nomura.
With a raid themed after FFVIII and Eden, I was totally expecting to actually fight enemies from that game along with some original bosses. The 3rd boss of the trial reminded me SOOOOOO much of the disaapointment I experienced when fighting Yu Yevon for the first time.
