Exactly. The important thing to note is they're choosing to rot at 70 too.

The help was there, their party was fully willing to offer advice. The forums will offer help too and numerous guides exist. The run was being affected to the point that tank and healer were both running out of cooldowns. It's not a case of the evil elitists booting out a genuine player. The BLM simply chose not to listen or work with the team.
What's amusing is that they used Yoshi's rule on no dps meter as a tool to create toxicity. The claim is that parsers create toxic behavior, yet the ban on them creates even more.

Honestly I ve carried my share of low DPS in dungeons (I don't use parser but I can tell when the DPS is abyssmal in a dungeon, playing as a tank), and due to the very low difficulty level of said content, I wouldn't be surprised if the BLM's skills wasn't the only reason the group was struggling there.

On a side dnote, you can't expect the performance of your teamates in pick up group to be good. Players are players, not your own convenience to farm or run the dungeon. If you want to play with good players, just make your own group. It is like the oldest rule in the book in MMORPGs.

    Excuse me but...what?

Players are players, not your personal nanny that holds your hand and carries you through the dungeon while you randomly press you skills.

This is true. Save for the single DPS you can still go through relatively quickly. If it's abysmal it's due to the fact more than one person isn't being efficient. You can usually tell this with cooldown alignment.

As Bard I sometimes call this my "2 song trash pull rule" Each AOE song is 30 seconds and comes back up on on time for the next pull. Or a skill like Sidewinder/Shadowbite (since it's for AOE) which is a minute. Now sometimes it happens a little less or more with that window but I can tell if something is taking longer than it should by the my CDs (without a parser).

When we get to a boss in the dungeon the average time it takes is 3 minutes or less. I know this because at the start of the fight I have my full opener ready - which uses Battle Voice. That's has 180 seconds on it before it's ready again. On average I may see it ready twice with dungeon bosses. A lot of times with bosses it's usually shorter than that unless the final one. But this is just an average run with other people.

So 3 dungeon bosses around 3 minutes so the total about 9 minutes.
Trash pulls all together are about 6.
Basically 2 medium to big pulls before each boss taking a minute each.
On average dungeon runs usually go for 15 mins. Tho sometimes it's 20 because of the time to move to the next batch.

So if something is taking longer it isn't some "general sense" I get - it's because I know my cooldown lineup.
So if you know your CDs aren't in line with what you're generally used to - you're going to get frustrated. It's like say someone moving your keys to a spot you're not accustomed to - really annoying right?

If anyone hasn't said "I'm new" or "new at this job bear with me" or at least let me know that the pace isn't going to be the average you feel frustrated. I do take the time to look at gear and see what players have leveled. People in chat often laugh but also use it now too when I say something like "awwww dey a baby" basically meaning this may be that person's first job and I say it in a genuine way of delight because I love seeing new people experiencing the game.

I thougt I joined EXPERT roulette not daycare roulette. If you want to learn a dungeon or new job at 80 run it with trusts or make a learning PF. All endgame dungeon/raids should be completed as fast and as competent as possible.

Why do so many people on here expect everyone to babysit other players, I dont understand.

    So, this was just announced.

Regardless of whether or not it'll be a success, it's potentially more "eyes" on people that will probably be raiding with parser and perhaps other shadier tools/mods.

Will this have an effect on SE's stance in the future?

I doubt it. Unless someone uses a mod that actually injects client data. And it depends how it's broadcast not like there aren't multiple windows and audio devices these days :P

    I hope you're right.

(The other potential issue that also could have more eyes on is if there are death threats again or something like that, but that's probably a topic for a different thread.)

Yeah that's not cool (the death threats).

In related news, I couldn't meet up with Diablos. I had waited to see if they would contact me again since I made several attempts in this thread to get in touch with them outside my work hours. They transferred to another data center which I suspect was because of this thread. I'm a bit frustrated with both parties on their reactions...but I feel more sad overall. That's not what I like seeing happen in game.
