No Ucob/UwU weapons for the new jobs? That's disappointing

The point of ultimate content is giving hardcore players something challenging to do without spending too many resources because they know that only a small percentage of the player base will (be able to) do it. It's not about giving them a nice glamour. Is about giving them a challenge and bragging rights. Of course the content uses recycled assets.

While, yeah, most of Ultimate is reused assets, I’m still surprised that the dev team couldn’t make GNB/DNC weapons for the previous two. Especially since they’re still relevant and there are still people progging and clearing both to this day. They deemed GNB/DNC important enough to get Coven weapons (that we can’t even obtain anymore since they closed Diadem), so I don’t see why they couldn’t have given them old Ultimate weapons. You’d actually see those in use in some shape or form.

This is especially bad considering they more or less threw darts at a board when determining TEA weapons for Red Mage (Bismarck), Samurai (Leviathan), Gunbreaker (Mt. Gulg) and Dancer (Shire). Why not pull out four more darts so the latter two can get Ultimate weapons for UCoB and UwU?

The point still stands though, and I'd rather they revive an old thread than start a new one.

The sheer fact that UCoB and UwU can't be tackled unsynced makes them "current" content to be challenged. That alone should make them candidates for new weapons. Ultimates are designed to be timeless, and not including weapons for new jobs destroys that very idea.

If its about bragging rights, then there is not a good enough reason to not include the two new weapons.

Also, no, it's not exclusive to ultimate to use less resources as we now have been paying more while getting less sense stormblood. We pay a sub. This isn't free content.

They don't need to reuse old weapons, they just happened to. It made sense to use dreadwrym weapons as it was a "reimagining" of bahamut, however uwu and tea make no sense, the devs just know that players like relics, which works, as a relic is a more "one of a kind" weapon, which makes the fact that they reuse a tome or dungeon weapon even more insulting.

But there is a bigger issue, and that's the life expectancy of the content. Making it synced does not keep this content from dying, and by not adding new weapons, this assures it even more so and that it is too limited in obtaining. If the content is made for higher skilled raiders, how are the raiders who are trying to kill it after going to? The fight needs 8 players. The devs give incentive to clear casual content, but there is no reward for veterans to help the raiders behind them or to even revisit the content.

That is incorrect, it is not better to make a new thread. That is disorganized and unnecessary. You are also mentioning the difference in choice of style, as the Japanese threads tend to keep everything in a particular thread and not needlessly creating a new one (westerners tend to make new threads, but not always) . The issue is still current and it being an old thread doesn't make the issue nonexistent. Making a new thread won't change what I have to say, and it's stupid to create a new one when there is an existing one

And yes, you are wasting players time, as you are complaining for the sake of complaining that someone is making a new statement on a topic thread that already exists. This thread still exists, it's a forum on the internet. The thread isn't years old into the next expansion. So rather than complain that someone is commenting about a topic that is still relevant, actually say something meaningful. This forum isn't about you wanting something else to talk about. If you don't want to talk about it, don't bother even responding or even reading it. You just trying to tell someone they can't talk is just stupid and does nothing other than show your intent to cause harm.

I think that, typically, it would be preferred to necro a post that isn’t really that old versus making a new thread. Every time duplicate threads for a similar complaint or issue comes up, posters invariably link to the original concerns and say “We already had a thread like this. Don’t need another one”.

If this was from several years ago, maybe you’d have a point. But it’s honestly not that old of a thread.

No equality in new race genders, no new craftable or ultimate weapons for new jobs, Viera/Hrothgar can't wear most hats still, GNB sfx get changed 3 weeks into the expansion, and content is continually being babied/easier making mediocrity the new medium/standard for people to play. This expansion is really on a roll with disappointing people.

Anyway, I'm not necessarily happy with how the post-HW jobs got their TEA weapons assigned, but if that's the precedent they're gonna go with there's really no excuse, like Forte said, for them to not do the same for GNB and DNC's UWU and UCoB weapons.

When it is an issue that is still relevant but thread is old enough to be classed as necromancy then make a joke about it but still address the issue of the thread. (Assuming not troll posts ofc in which case joke and ignore etc)

It really is weird they haven't done this, because for the next ultimate it will most likely be based on the Warring Triad or Thordan which have weapons for every job barring gnb and dnc so they have to design multiple versions or pick very out of place weapons to add the ultimate style glow to.
