And more importantly, DNC and GNB are too. Again, "reworking existing jobs" and "adding new jobs" are not mutually exclusive.
It's not "either/or". Both can, and very likely will, happen at once. If you want the next rework to be MNK so bad, take it to a MNK thread rather than trying to throw off another discussion.

Funny, I thought the title of the thread was "Predictions for job(s) in the next expansion?"And more importantly, DNC and GNB are too. Again, "reworking existing jobs" and "adding new jobs" are not mutually exclusive.

I predict a MNK rework.
Relevant to thread.
Pull the stick out, but slowly. Wouldn't want you to hurt yourself.
Congratulations, you're literally correct about the thread title, so long as you ignore the context of the OP and choose to be pedantic.
At any rate, the umbrage I take is not with the prediction, but with the phrasing of "I'd rather", which implies in itself that it is a choice between the two, when it very well isn't. You are free to predict Monk will be reworked, but your original post is dismissive of the thread topic and phrased as to supplant it.

See, now you're just grasping at straws with which to be irate over. There is no implication that is has to be one or the other. They are going to add new jobs, when quite frankly there are existing jobs that need work before they throw more balancing issues into the mix. MNK was an example, and definitely not the only one. We can theorize all day long about what the next jobs may or may not be, which is fine and dandy, but it's also just as important to take into consideration the current state of existing jobs and how they may be affected by adding more to the plate.
The only one derailing anything here is you.
But just so I can add my other 2 gil to the topic:
Give me a job that acts like an old school Fistweaver from WoW and I'll never play another healing job again.
I'm assuming a Geomancer Healer and Beast-Master Maiming DPS.
Seems like a given that it will either be a healer and a melee dps, or just a healer. And presumably said melee dps will use DRG or NIN gear.
I think a hammer-using maiming dps would be cool, though it'd probably have to be an original job. For some reason Meru from Legend of Dragoon comes to mind, not to literally copy but sort of as an example of a hammer attack style that isn't too much of an overlap with Warrior-like motions.
I'd expect the healer to be either Green Mage or Chemist, or something new. Green Mage could have a max-hp increasing angle (kinda like shields but "different"), and could also theoretically use a hammer but then you'd have a vastly different offensive style from other healers, which seems greatly unlikely. Chemist I could imagine something akin to mudras/ninjutsu with ingredients/mix or something like that.
A necromancer class with a trait to have 1.4 more hp than the other healers and its healing spells cost big hp, also the hp lost is counted for an ability that grants you a shield based on hp missing, more funny, its heals can be casted on enemys but instead of healing they do damage.
Would be chaotic to say the least :3.
Re: green mage
Green magic in FFXII was oddball buff spells, but three of them could be tank-esque. Decoy, Bubble and Reverse. The first was the enmity equivalent for that game, the second increased max HP, and the last caused the target to heal instead of taking damage for a time (and vice versa.) I could see where they got the idea for a tank from that.
BST (Limited or DoL, maybe dps, but a long shot)
GEO (healer)
Morpher (Limited or Tank)
I say these three, because I think the theme will be wildlife, and earth. Nature. BST is the master of creatures, GEO=Earth, Morphers can transform into creatures.
