    Something i had written for flamethrower from an older thread.

    Famethrower should build heat, It should also allow movement, albeit slowed as well as be manually aimed. I don't see how shooting flames out of your gun wouldn't build heat, and standing still while you flail around just feels like an arbitrary restriction. I think flamethrower would have a particularly good spot as an AoE opener to quickly build heat to transition into crossbow, and also as a damage boost when used with overheat on. (make it blue high-pressure flames) - This could only be used after the initial pull as flamethrower would still be on cooldown obviously.

    Personally think the job needs another skill that removes heat and just leave spamming heat blast for wild fire

    Maybe even Flamethrower could be reworked into something along those lines being a Dot or Just a flat damage skill similar to BLM foul

    I still don't understand why MCH has only 18 actions at Lv 80 while some jobs have 27. Not counting Role Actions.

    They would have twenty three if not queen would stupidly replace the two turrets with their 4 skills
    But I agree, the class would feel being more roundep up, if it would have like all other jobs 28-32 skills

    se has to get rid finally of role skills and should give all classes the current pvp only skills for pve to use as well instead, while merging the role skill effects just into the job skills

    Overrall, the thread is good.

    The job was made more accessible and got a bunch of QoL but the cost was complexity and control over the kit.

    Flamethrower really need a rework. I like the idea of being the Air Anchor variant but I hope they keep Noise Blaster for that.
    If I could decide the design, I'd make it so the Flamethrower is now a "stance" changing the 3 Shot GCD to shot bursts of flames. While using the same tool as Drill/AA/ACB/BB because it would be sick.

    Remove it or rework it.

    Reassemble is both good and bad. The good part is the rng mitigation, a critical on Drill/Air Anchor plays a heavy role. The bad part is that it's a "push to do more damage" button. Could have been something else such as the ability to reuse Drill/Air Anchor/Bio Blaster like the Samurai using a Midare twice.

    Heat Blast is boring, it doesn't have the same flavor as the SB/HW Wildfire combo. The problem was how ping reliant it was but they fixed the complexity instead, removing a lot of satisfaction from the combo.

    Wildfire is trash. Is there a worst cooldown actively used? It does little damage over a fight, has no impact and is unsatisfying gameplay wise. It's a "press the button to do more damage" with little implication.

    Automaton Queen was a real hype but sadly doesn't feel present on the battlefield and has little to no interaction. On top of that, it's dumb.
    The boss is moving? The Automaton can't decide if it should dash or try to run after the boss.
    Boss invulnerable? nah, keep punching.
    Multiple target? Better go battle that add you were shooting at a minute ago.

    It's unpolished, IA random and dumb.
    A easy fix would be to grant it "charges" instead of a timer. Roller Dash would cost 2 charges and Arm Punch 1 charge, at 0 charge the Automaton use Pile Bunker and disappear. It should stay on the battlefield until Pile bunker is used.

    It's on the MCH to manage downtime and play around it to maximise the output, but bugs and IA? Hell no.

    Wildfire does little damage? Its 1200 potency if you land 6 GCDs. By comparison, Samurai's Sensei is also a 2 min cooldown that hits for 1100.

    And by the way, most buttons in the game are "push to do more damage". Samurai's Kaiten and Tsubame-Gaeshi are literally just that. That's what DPS is.

    I honestly dont have a huge problem with Heat Blast gameplay. I feel like there's a good rhythm to it weaving gauss rounds and ricochet in between.

    Flamethrower can use some work, for sure, as I can't find big use from it outside of going pyromaniac on big packs. Maybe if it increased heat through usage again, allowing us to use Hypercharge more often it'd be worth it.

    I've actually enjoyed this MCH much more than the SB one.

    Its 1200 potency, however it has no ability to crit or direct hit, meaning it will lose out to Sensei just from that, but also bear in mind that Samurai also has a 13% damage up constantly too, so its more than 1100 potency really.
