Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

If they want to they can make just about anything fit. Just because a race/gender combo is rare now doesn't mean it has to stay that way.

Hopefully; even if they take up that lore there's no reason for why they shouldn't be around. mMiqote is basically in the same boat as them. It's a matter of letting them be playable and keeping the NPC males scarce to fit with the lore. Other players characters don't count, as it were.

The design looks like a male miqo'te with rabbit ears attached. That honestly wouldn't surprise me if it was the route they decided to take.

An improved take on the elezen model is far more likely. It's closer to the concept art that's worth taking seriously, too. Ultimately it's unlikely that they're going to risk ignoring Matsuno and divert too far from his desired vision and aesthetics. His designs are almost always classically handsome/ruggedly handsome so it's a safe bet that under his care they'd be along those lines.

I agree on this. A more improved model of the elezen model would actually be perfect for me. Less of a neck, a little more muscle mass and better emotes? I'd be all over that. And regarding Matsuno - yeah, that's also something not to be ignored. Basche literally has the body type he was describing in regards to mViera. It's funny how Basche was supposed to be the main character of FF12 but they made him change it so Vaan was created.

Slap some bunny ears on Basche and turn his nose up a little. Bam, perfect.

Gruff looking, looks like he's seen some sh*t and a half. Yet the guy, is extremely elegant in his movements and mannerisms. A very reserved man.

I would like to point out that there was a side quest in Rak'tika Greatwood where it was implied that a male Viera took out one of the beastkin, a Caracal I think, with a single arrow. The female that was accompanying you remarks that usually it takes a few arrows to bring down that beast. A female Viera wouldn't have a reason to stay in the shadows or otherwise hide themselves, this was also during her own hunt (I think, having trouble recalling if that was a previous quest in the chain or not) and is markedly "fiercer" than the usual number of attacks required to get the kill, also fulfilling the more competitive trait that was mentioned elsewhere (can't recall if that in regard to XIV or XII, but fits either way).

Not sure what its actually for, but it seems to be real SQEX art. I love the tactics/bravely style its has, and I'd love to have a similar face option available for male viera, regardless of body type.

I believe it's an entry for one of the gear design contests so, while SE holds copyright over the image, it's not official SE artwork.

That said, I would be ok with a larger height slider, I don't particularily care if they're taller or smaller than the females as long as it's not an Au Ra-like dimorphism.

But was indeed made younger and prettier to appeal to the JP fanbase. Basch was one of the last characters designed, and may have recieved points from Vaan's earlier design, which is where the rumor may have come from.

Well Yoshi did say "Elegant" and "like a miqote cross with Elezen"
So its a safe bet they would be a "fixed" Elezen with Miqote Aesthetic like regular Viera

And i do hope they have a hair style like in the Art Tabbs posted (which was a runner up design contest winner)

'Elegant' has a pretty broad definition in itself. Ryu Hayabusa is pretty elegant, though he's also pretty beefy:

So, yeah. Target demographics. Those matters, a lot. What would mViera's target demographic be? As by reading this; they go for what fits the story, what fits the target demographic - and what sells them more fantasia's
