That's not really what I meant when I said progression, but it's nice that BLU has that content available to it now.

What I meant was...BLU's gameplay itself doesn't have any progression towards it. Like how BLM has to juggle their Astral/Umbral timer long enough to access Polyglot, RDM gaining black and white mana to access a magic melee finisher, and SMN gradually upgrading their summons to Bahamut then Phoenix. BLU doesn't have that sort of engagement and again, that's what makes the unlimited jobs feel rewarding to play. Personally BLU feels too chaotic with most of its skills being copies of one another, some (or most, really) ending up barely used or borderline useless. The element wheel being non-existent being a problem and not really giving the job depth it's supposed to have like in XI or V where it mattered.

All we're asking is a fixed set of abilities to use wherever BLU can't currently enter and you can keep playing with wacky spells in old dungeons. I haven't seen anyone who wants that to be taken away. It's just a weird bad faith interpretation of the request to unlock the job.

It appears that you're still making up strawmen. I get it, it's hard to defend the limitations if you accept the idea that you don't have to lose what you like in order for others to get what they want.

That isn't progression, that's what most would call "repeatables" you ignorant twat. Leveling, you mean leveling up to 20 levels below the cap? Getting spells? You mean getting spells that all deal about the same amount of damage or have a gimmick that doesn't apply to 90% of enemies you fight as is? Masked Carnival? Lady, we can already get allied seals through hunting, this is a lazily done mode to make you believe it's worth playing BLU... Now with the edition of locking rewards behind it like a Malboro and an emote. None of those things represent progression, they don't allow you to advance the story up to the point of the level cap and beyond, they don't help you do any current raids, you can't even reliably play them in SB or ShB OPEN WORLD maps... so no current tier hunts either. you have to do an all BLU party in old outdated content that you could easily do at any time anyways with any job already. It's a cheap gimmick and I'm sorry you can't accept that BUL is poorly designed here but a avst majority believe it isn't worth any time or anymore time than the couple of days it takes to get spells and get these cheap rewards.

We went from being a novice as to being even a better Blue mage than Martyn. And he even says that himself!

Tbh, I'd probably enjoy it at least if it could do PoTD or something that I could actually progress in. We both know it would be OP and destroy the MB's prices for anything on fixed floors though, unless they lock the fixed floors... in which case, so much for that being interesting whatsoever. PVP is just implausible to me in its current state. I like BLU's concept as it is, but its execution to actually enjoy it just.... not in the price places.

Writing is a fun little tool to mask flaws isn't it? Isn't it great when you see them write a character that boasts your character... It's almost like you're the main character and supposed to be sucked up to in a fantasy game. Weird huh? You advance from one point of old content that can already be done to another which can also already be done. Stop pretending.
