Ive given months of constructive criticism across this forum on BLU, this thread was simply to express my dissatisfaction with the new offerings, and how they contradict previous statements by the devs. And no i cant point to an FF where the kit was entirely unique, but in other ffs blus were treated as part of the party like every other job, and the devs didnt give excuses saying its kit was the reason why when its kit is clearly highly derivative
To answer your other points
-It always had the capability to do group content, its just there was no incentive and I still have no incentive whilst its limited, if anything its shift towards grouping takes away from any arguments for limitation
-It has 80 actions, many of which are functionally identical/useless. Faux Variety =/= fun to me
-I applaud them making spells easier to learn, they shouldn't have any learn rates to begin with, 100% learnrate should be the standard because the spells should be the means and not the ends in and of themselves, arbitrary learn rates are and always will be a bad design decision unless there is justified reason to have them like in ffxi. Having higher learn rates also doesn't take away from the fact that there is still nothing engaging, at least to me, to use said spells on
- Answered above, other games didnt try to segregate blu based on its abilities
-Yes I do imagine ways it could be better, and express them regularly in the other blue mage threads
- This Thread is a waste of time in your opinion, I enjoy expressing criticism of the game as maybe it will reach places where my favourite job in the franchise will be mainable
