Hmm.. I just like the look. Depends on my mood. Just simply like the look, for one reason or another on my various outfits - nothing special. I don't understand what the issue is for other players. I mean I make jokes about all the naked cat boys all the time. Being real here, half the time I see a cat boy he actually is in skimpy leather. It's not like this is gender specific. When I play males in other games (I think they look terrible in this game) I do the exact same thing, and I change their outfits just as much as I change my girl's outfits. I pick something I like, has a certain theme, looks cool, etc. Sometimes I just wear something easy, a full set or something, when I get bored of my outfits. In shooters I generally always play males, I think modern tactical gear looks better or 'cooler' on them. All just a matter of someones own taste.

I think one issue is people fail to separate reality from fantasy, they see player characters as extensions of themselves. So in turn judge others for not complying to their set of standards. They care too much when it is a male playing a female, or a female playing a male character. The excuse "if I have to stare at something" is a true though, for many people. I make outfits, and fantasia so often, because I like to look at my character, why else? If I didn't care I wouldn't prefer third person games (shooters, mmorpg, etc.), customization is a big deal for me, and many others.

In general, when making an outfit, I have a baseline. I think men look better in heavier sets, armor, etc. females look better in lighter sets, less bulky, more agile. When I create outfits in various games, I will look at the options I have available, and make outfits or characters based on this logic. In fantasy the male form, in my opinion, matches plate armor, mail, helmets, masks. I generally prefer my females to be mages or rogues, again, I simply like the look. I think the female form looks better in even lighter wear as well, "skimpy". They look attractive, I do not find males attractive in "skimpy" wear. I prefer males to look 'cool'. I think they look more attractive looking "manly".. However, using this game as an example. I do not think the males have enough 'cool' options available, I do not like any of the male variants of the races, I do not like the hairs, etc. available. In my opinion they do not look "manly" or "masculine" enough. The armor sets in this game, for the most part, in my opinion, look better on females as a whole.
