What's the point of ranks?

So if there's nothing to do between 15-50, why not make 15 the level cap and readjust mobs accordingly. Likewise if there's an endgame and it's totally different than the mid game, why even have a mid game if it isn't preparing you for the end game?

Someone forgot the "progressing through the story" part, not to mention other quests, that tend to be quite enjoyable, while not too numerous. The "there's nothing to do between 15 and 50" is a massively hyperbolic statement, and as such completely void of any meaning.

There may not be that incredible amount of activities to do at higher levels, but the fact that there are is just that, a fact. As such, anyone that denies it simply lies, for whatever reason he or she may have.

And yes your building your character they are addong instanced dungeons sometime soon (delayed due to earthquack + tsunami + multi nuclear reactors going melt down)

they plan on fixing combat and adding dungeons plus adding compaines (finally)

Either rank up now and be ready to play the high end content as soon as it's there, or wait for the content to be released and rank up then while everyone else is already enjoying it. There actually is quite a bit to do at 50 if you're more concerned about new experiences and strategies than you are loot. Yep. That's right people, there's more than just free roaming and faction NMs.

You can kill NM,s you can also do this at 35, but most of the NM's are useless and all are extremely boring, the gear you can create is subpar to current gear or worse. Or just buy it as its cheap.

Theres more fractions but all the gear from that stinks and is subpar to what we currently have so theres no point doing that.

What else? lol oh you can do the story but its so damn boring and you have to solo most of it till like 46, and 46 is the only decent mission, but thats because the rest are horrible that that 1 mission stands out, but comparing it to xi or any other game it stinks and is very short and extremely easy.

Harlequin's is useless to your CON in what way? Dodore Doublet is useless to your ARM in what way? I know there are those kinds of people who cannot be impressed easily, but you take the cake. Maybe you're exaggerating your taste a little and just using poor choice of words, but really what you're saying is you are hard to please and that's fine.

There is progression and a few events regarding NMs. Honestly, the only thing I find fun to do lately is low manning or soloing Roaming/Faction NM. Other than that, all there is to do is progress ranks and wait for content.
