Entitled people kick from FC harassing after??

If you kicked with the whole FC in mind, you should have the right to change your mind. I guess the only thing I would have done is had a second conversation with them to explain why you changed your mind, before removing them. Tell them why you're dismissing them all together from the FC. This was a personal attack on you as leader. Members of an FC should never talk smack about the head of an FC or it's members in a public forum, and there should be a written rule against this for all to read, which you said there is.

You as leader need to ask yourself "was this an attack on the FC as a whole"? The answer is no, it was a personal attack against the leader of an FC. The fact however is that it was made public by these individuals, when they should have kept it private, rings more wrong than anything else. Airing any dirty laundry in public puts an FC in a bad light. The fact that it hurt your feelings should not have played a role whatsoever in your decision to remove them. Sure they or any member has the potential to repeat this offense in the future hypothetically. You can't really say for certain, nor can you judge them by a hypothetical possibility.

Yet here you are in a public forum talking about all this, trying to defend your decisions, when it's not necessary because it's your rules, your FC. No one is defending bad people but rather expressing different pov's. You can't take everything in here so personal either, but you are. Doing so speaks to people in regards to that initial decision and of course they're going to give rise to it in a forum that you knew was public. By posting here, you basically gave invitation to different views on the matter. You can't ask for people's thoughts and expect everyone to comfort you, telling you you were in the right. It doesn't work that way. You should just stop making this public and personal, it's not good for your FC either.

I'm gonna concur with SenorPatty. I can see where you are coming from, hence I've concurred with some of your arguments. And I think the fact you've kept it anonymous means you aren't shaming these people and I agree 'tyrant' was harsh. we have rant threads of people's bad experiences posting every so often here (and have a huge thread for DF rants) and rarely they get an interrogation, so I understand that desire to try and defend your position. But of course, as with anything, there are and will be difference of opinion (which is fine) and there will also be people who'd be more inclined to try and get a rise out of you.

But I think it has started to snowball, normally this is where I'd think "I'm gonna walk away from this" and avoid going in circles when my mind is set and other people's minds are set, but of course your prerogative whether you do.

Yes, I've seen rant threads everywhere on the forums, I am usually not active on forums either, but when it comes to sharing experiences people like to point the fingers at like at.... almost anything, then some just say you're only seeking validation or attention just for sharing a story.

I can see the point, and yes this is going in circles far longer than it should have, literally. So I will just agree with you to let it go here, since of course some people have very little foresight on the matter at hand or even their own arguments to a decision that has been changed, but as one person has said before in their previous post that they have something more productive to do, so do I.

These players were talking trash behind your back (about you), they got caught on stream (they should have been smarter), you gave them a warning, then in their PoV after said warning you arbitrarily ban them. Even if after deliberation you and other FC members collectively think kicking is the right outcome, you had already given these players a warning. This means, your warnings, or your given word, is worth nothing.

In what way does it make Yakoo's word worth nothing? She didn't give go with the correct consequence at first and, after talking with others in the FC, came to realize that it was best for the FC to be rid of the problem. She didn't go back on her word, she did what is best for the FC. If anything, that makes her a better, more trustable leader.

Yakoo is being dogpiled by people denigrating her. When she tries to defend herself, she gets dogpiled some more.

Worse, the people I see doing the dogpiling are "popular forum people", so they're going to be defended by each other. I have watched, throughout this thread, Yakoo's statements be twisted, Yakoo called a tyrant, a bad FC leader, that her FC is trash and bad, and numerous other things. And as the thread has gone on, there has been more and more dogpiling. Frankly, it's rather shameful of the people dogpiling her. I've had people to do that to me in the past, and I know how easily the dogpile can twist what you're saying to make you look bad. Which is exactly what several people in this thread have done. You should be ashamed of yourselves, but I know you won't be.

I did not knew the term "dogpiling", thanks for that so I can add this to my dictionary. It happens to Doozer in the other thread too when there are even people just came in to bash him again - and then wonder why he gives up and blocks users to go on even further.
This is just another internet phenomena that is destroying any healthy discussion culture: S...tstorms. The problem, just like Doozer - who's been ridiculed a lot and even put into a signature as some form of internet pillory - is that if they defend their views, people do not add to the discussion but outright want to force their opinion on top of the OP and get very irritating when these people defend their justified opinions and views on a matter.

Or in short: Mrs. Yakoo is quasi-required to always defend herself, else there is stuff posted in that context that is made up by others. If she keeps quiet, the gossip keeps being posted and the OP is "defeated", giving the opposing fractions the implications of being right.

That's why I do my answers in letter-style. I only go back to something if it's really important or threads opened by myself. It's a micdrop style of posts to stop this endless loop. Use my input to broaden your horizon, but I'd never be mad if you don't agree either.

Also, some of the users here can be filed under "Agent Provocateur", and the only thing they want is that you have a miserable time until you slip and get banned. Don't let this happen. Stand your ground once or twice, then leave the fray. Nothing is worse than coming back over and over, it makes your arguments look weaker and the bashing starts all over.

Your decisions were right, you are the leader, and all the other stuff is not relevant to non-members.

You are right! The OP has nothing to justify! They shouldn't have ever posted this thread in the first place. This thread has no purpose, guild drama should stay in-guild, or brought to a GM's attention when needed. If the OP didn't want discussion, or differing opinions, they should have never posted this.

Catzz is talking about the people who accused yakoo for those things while making their point.
some of the points brought up are indeed something to look upon and reflect but in the end those people pointed then with very nasty remarks that were exaggerated and were baseless from the start and even then i wouldn't count these people to act upon the points they brought up if they were presented the same case(slight chance they might have but i hugely doubt it).
