The new mount is dumb. Not only is it dumb, it's a sign of things to come until 2.0.

Everyone should be prepared for a whole lot of 'umm why did you even bother' and 'seriously?' this year.

Some how I think that what certain people see when something like this released is:

Scene: SE FFXIV Development floor/office. Twenty Asian dudes standing around one PC watching as a single dev. takes a character model and places it in sitting position on top of a Goobbue.

Dev on PC: What do you think guys?

19 other devs: Oh...my...god. You are a genius, alas this is going to take all of our man power and money to put into the game.

Dev on PC: You think so? Let's go ask Yoshi-P what he thinks.

Scene: Yoshi-P's office. All 20 dev's are gathered around Yoshi's desk as Yoshi stares at the printed image of a character on top of a Goobbue.

All 20 devs: It's the best isn't it Yoshi!?!?!

Yoshi-P: INDEED IT IS! WE WILL PUT 100 MORE PEOPLE ON THIS PROJECT TO MAKE SURE WE GET IT FINISHED FOR 1.20b! Everyone!~ STOP WORK ON 2.0 STOP WORK ON 1.21 WE HAVE A FREAKING GOOBBUE MOUNT TO WORK ON RIGHT NOW!





When in all actuality it probably took more time for me to type this than it did for one dude to put this mount together for us.

You don't deserve to feel disappointed by a filler update. Do you understand? Do you know why these updates have letters next to them? The fact that we actually got a free mount with the mini update, is actually pretty impressive. And this isn't the only mount we're getting by the looks of it. From the looks of it, they've made a system that lets them quickly make a new mount for us to mess with.
