Well, considering Stage 3 seems to be the last stage for this patch, hopefully they rethink the implementation for the next one and learn from the mistakes.

No more cast bars for Bard! Thank you, Yoshi-P! All hail our lord and savior!
That was the purpose of this patch no??
Yoshida even explained they dont have experience yet with content like this and need to monitor the data.
Yet some people act like they should of known earlier, which I call is bullshit. You can only guess a handful things how your community (seriously large community) will react to the content.
And it's fun to see that people expect to finish all stages in a day to pop the FATE multiple times. It's not wrong if the progress bar takes a week to complete, while the FATE could be seen as a reward on it's own.
Well, given the playable area should be expanded with each patch, I would hope that mitigates some of the issues. A bigger zone should handle congestion better, and if they're smart with future Concerted Works they can have multiples going on at a time to spread players out across the whole zone, rather than having literally everyone in the zone working within 5 steps of each other.
And as I wrote before, what if multiple instances can't actually work with this content?
When field zones are split into instances, they operate independently of each other. Hunt marks spawn in different places and world FATEs have their own cooldown timers.
It seems very possible that the same would apply if you instanced the Firmament: three separate stockpiles to be filled, setting off progression FATEs individually.
I also wonder if they may not be able to step away from the concept of short-term FATEs into a "long FATE" running over hours. I don't think the FATE system can track people who leave the zone before it completes - not into instanced dungeons at least. I haven't tested it but I don't remember ever seeing a reward notice if I go into a dungeon after partly completing a FATE.
To be fair, there are certain things they should have known. With almost every new content they underestimate the player base's immediate interest in said content and are surprised that zones get congested and content sometimes unplayable or just unenjoyable. Aka not experienced as planned. That's nothing new. That was the purpose of this patch no??

Or the amount needed for each stage will increase thus its quite normal that it will take longer (otherwise this content will be done in 1-2 weeks depending on the stages). Or with the amount of fate hopping people have simply be able to get so much currency, that they dont need to help progressing the situation.
Edit:
And what Stage 3 is already the end? Wow this was really quite a short first phase of this new content...so why exactly was it even a problem with the amount of people in lower servers if they are just these few stages and weeks/months until the next on is released?

well congratulations to Balmung on getting that world first. I'd really like to know now for how long the devs thought this first stage would last...
Also this makes the whole hotfix and outrage pretty pointless now, since the problem would've fixed itself this weekend, no?
The problem was people were unable to participate in the Concerted Works on their home server. That isn't fixed in a week when there are no more Concerted Efforts, it's resolved but people still would have missed out due to Wanderer's overcrowding the zone. People at least have a better chance to get in for the last set of Concerted Works now.
From what I gather, there is no more Concerted Works once the final stage is finished? I think SE should reconsider that design choice. Having a basic Concerted Works that just repeats (perhaps even with the Stockpile stage still involved) once progression for a patch has finished would alleviate a lot of concerns I feel, people who are upset that they missed out on it would effectively still be able to participate in it that way. It also acts as a more tangible reward for finishing the whole upgrade process; You get to keep coming back for non-progress related Concerted Works for fun/rewards.
This is a Japanese game, therefore, they expect the gamers to be courteous to each other. This is a problem outside of JP servers because common courtesy is not really a thing now. I always leave the Firmament when I'm done crafting, but there are many who don't. I can see if someone falls asleep while crafting, especially while using macros. Otherwise, just be courteous and leave the area.
