The only "waaah" level of complaints I saw were gatherers complaining they had no content to do with Ishgard Restoration.

I think those people just aren't seeing things from a pragmatic standpoint. I believe the lowest level crafter is lv20 to contribute. You can get from 1-20 in less than 30 minutes by just going down the recipe list. And lo, by having gatherers leveled, you would be gathering materials anyway. There. DoH can contribute.

And as the ones with the data of who was world visiting, who was helping, who was just standing around and leeching the FATES, etc., SE gets to base this decision more on the legitimate concerns than the "waaah" level responses.

I mean, Yoshi-P said as much - they'd been monitoring the situation, have data on the number of crafters across servers, etc., and had a response ready to be implemented should they deem it necessary.
