2 years of being a mentor and you couldnt gather 1.500 commendations? Sorry to be so blunt but that even if you put time and effort into this game, you might have put that into the wrong places if you wanted to be a mentor.
Being a mentor is not meant as reward, its meant as a sign of "Hey, this person has proven to be exceptional helpful and nice in the past and is willing to continue to do so" - and yes, commendations are given out for all number of reasons, but they're our best way of telling right now wether or not someone is acting in a way thats benefital to the community.

Just saying 1500 comms are mostly a time sink and if people ran the 1000 dungeons via the roulette getting 1500 if not close while leveling a tank and healer should not take that much extra time.

If you care so much about the mentor crown then you don't deserve to be a mentor. Most mentors help other players in-game without using the mentor crown at all usually because of the stigma it carries.

Help others for the sake of helping them, you don't need a crown icon to justify it.

Commendations come to those who go out of their way to help others or who perform well. Healing tends to be the best way to get commendations as you are literally the support for both the tank and the DPS and can prevent wipes.

Honestly OP, your post perfectly demonstrates why you probably should not be a mentor. You're displaying quite an entitled attitude here, and clearly don't possess the humility and/or self-awareness to realize that being a mentor is a responsibility, not some kind of reward or badge of honor for you to earn and show off.

If you meet the requirements for a crafting mentor then you earned it. Good job. You will need to do the same to become a battle mentor just like everyone else. Good luck and have fun. I will be losing my mentor status because I refuse to level a healer, but I don't need a crown to help people. I haven't had it equipped nor have I joined the NN in months. Labeling oneself with the crown tends to make any situation worse in my experience.
