You know why they aren't talking? Because they are trying to meet their Patch on-time for you guys. As time gets closer to patch day, so will the information will come.
I really love SE, really. and FFXIV (wouldn't be paying to play right now otherwise). But if in my work, I always, ALWAYS, miss my deadline like they did with patches, I will be in trouble at work.
Yes, many will defend that you can't predict the timing for these things, but that's the nature of the beast. Either they don't have a good project manager or they really not doing their job in time.
That being said, still waiting for the update, come on SE![]()
That would be awesome but like many have stated it's not likely. It's far too strange to add a new mount and music in a "Hotfix" patch if the next large one was around the corner.
Logic would dictate they would unleash the new mount to make the patch seem even bulkier and content heavy. I'm not complaining that they are releasing it this way and it's a good way to please the people and keep us busy. The more time people run around on their Goobue karts the less time they have to hear us complain about patch dates.
On a patch related tangent.
FFXI did Goobue mounts first. (Though it wasn't SE)

See? What did I say? =)

Wasn't it very clear that the patch is coming this week in the beginning? oO

A patch is never late. Nor is it early. It arrives precisely when it means to.
Removed due to size restrictions and possible seizures risks.

I have never worked in any company where schedules were rigidly kept. Especially when the projected dates are given months in advanced. And from what I have seen in other companies I have delt with outside of work, its pretty much the same. Most of the time, jobs are about a week or two off, though I have seen plenty that ended up being months off.
Projected dates, as the ones that SE have given out, are merely the ideal dates and most likely don't figure in time for possible hangups. This is the way it goes pretty much everywhere.
