A good game puts you into the middle of the story with all the action involved, not sitting there listening to someone drone on.
Sure, put a bit more of voice acting in the game, but there's absolutely no need for full voice acting. Just some key quests and cutscenes will do.
Unless every voice is the bastion narrator.

Voice acting didn't sell the game. Star Was sold the game. They hyped "fully voice acted" so much that it nearly brainwashed the entire community. Bioware even admitted themselves that fully voice may not have been the greatest choice because now they have set themselves a bar. Everything they do from here on out has to be voiced. It's going to cost them.Who's Nolan North?
I'm playing it right now and I listen to each and every line of dialogue. Overall it really adds to the experience and even if everyone doesn't appreciate it, it certainly helped Bioware in pitching the game to fans. Production quality is always valued by gamers even if they rush past it. Not everyone paused to take in the vistas or high-resolution textures of FFXIII, but it still sold 6 million copies.
Starwars brings nothing to the table that previous MMOs haven't already. Voice acting is just covering up their lack of innovation.
Adding voice acting to FFXIV is would be great, but the time and money can be devoted elsewhere to make this game that much better.
If you can't be bothered to read a wall of text (which you can read much faster then listening to some actor babble about a quest) there will come a time when you just blow through the voiced event just to get to the game play. Just as you would text.
Most people I know play with the game muted anyways, would be a waste of resources as far as I am concerned.
Yeah, main storyline scenes would be fine to me for voice overs, but I don't need to hear every quest giver. And I sure as hell don't want every random NPC talking. One of the most annoying features (of many) that Skyrim has is the nonstop verbal vomiting all around you. No thanks.
Voice acting would work perfectly in this game since it's not a quest-based game so there is not so many. In SWTOR, there's so many that I end up skipping all except the story missions

Nobody I personally know skips it. I listen carefully to each quest. My husband, who used to always play MMOs with the TV on and game sound off, only half paying attention, actually now plays with the TV off, having fun listening to the game sound and the music (which he's positively commented on more than once). For the first time, it's given him a level of entertainment that captivates his attention.Did you even play SWTOR? because most people skip over the voice actings just to get into the real gameplay, it's a cool feature when you first played it, but it gets old really fast to most of my friends that is playing it right now.
Not everyone is interested in storytelling wall o text/speech , im not sure what the number is but it is pretty low numbers from the community i am playing with.
Our mains are Republic side. But he's an alt-o-holic and a very memorable moment was where his Sith alt had to assassinate a spy. Actually hearing her beg for her life made the quest difficult to complete, whereas if it had merely been text it wouldn't have stirred such an emotional response.

Agree full voice acting would be nice, but I'm not sure its feasable from a financial point of view, it all depends on how well the game does after 2.0 and whether SE thinks its worth taking the risk.
True enough but at the snails pace Blizzard work at we won't be seeing this til 2015.Blizzard is also preparing to launch a major new MMO in the years to come.
Everyone wants to be a special snowflake ?
