Didn't you know glamour is the true end game? I mean, who cares about working for things so that you can be proud of it and show it off?
No, no.
Just hand it out so that I can stand in Limsa for hours taking part in the same mundane shout conversations that go on daily

What's the point of doing a competitive game mode if you don't strive to be competitive?
Aside from the fact there aren't that many actually good players in the top 100 in any DC, and that literally anyone can get it if they care to play enough games and even slightly improve.
I agree that there should be something good for lower skill folks to get, but asking to be handed what should be exclusive gear for folks to show off is absolutely insane.
It's also not that hard to get top 100 if you put in some effort.
Effort.
Oh. I get it now.

I feel we should at least have some type of recolored armor at the vendor so those who got top 100 still get their achievements noticed, but will also allow others a chance to at least get the glam if they have a rough season. They could even call it a replica so it shows the divide between the two to make the Top 100 prize more worth it. Really just don't want prizes like that put on the mogstation or earned for twiddling your thumbs since it lessens the value of the work people put in.
I would prefer if SE itself had a types of on and off programs to promote the Feast and maybe get more of the notable players to have practice/ learning matches with people. I know Duty Commenced is a thing that runs but it's not active on everyone's DC so I feel like maybe even once a month getting a rep on each DC, having it be sponsored by Alienware (since they've been big for XIV at events), and just getting people into practice matches would be a big morale boost.
That or allow the function of bots (maybe using the trust system AI at minimum) to introduce you into learning how to play and giving helpful hints to succeed. Doesn't have to be amazing, but just allow you to learn the core of it on the field without costing your team a match in confusion of getting the rules/main goals.
Feast is something I always wanted to get into myself, but the game really pushes you into outside learning to even understand how to get the basics down which is tough when raiding/life. With the macro text being to only way to communicate it's great if you have an understanding, but for many people (like myself) it's just a bit confusing.

The community holds tournaments and practice scrims on a regular basis, people choose not to get involved, that's on them. They are so many people without regular LP teams yet none of them seem to care enough to ask the other teamless people to get something together. We have content creators/guide writers, mentors, discord servers of various levels and levels of banter and people still just lack the interest in getting involved and improving on a wider scale. So you can try to blame SE, but when people can't even be bothered to read THEIR PvP guides, asking them to improve in general and increase participation is a tough ask. Even as someone who has over 2000 games of Feast/Fold played (approx 1200 ranked), I can't ask SE to prop something up that people clearly aren't showing enough interest in. FRC in itself was a gift.

This right here. During the latter half of 4.x (after FRC) I held MONTHLY training events for players to come and learn through the PvPaissa discord. This was advertised on streams, different discord servers and even Reddit. The community holds tournaments and practice scrims on a regular basis, people choose not to get involved, that's on them. Most quit after a few sessions.
I also held a tournament specifically for newly formed teams.
The resources are there, this community just automatically shits on anything PvP related.
Even the other thread has the infamous premade inviting folks to join them. No one has done so.
If you aren't willing to put in the effort, that thousands of other people are, you don't get a reward, that's the point. Thousands of other competitors works shouldn't be degraded because you don't have the motivation, simple as.

But I want something! And it's absolutely not fair that it is time restricted!! Hell, all the people that have it didn't even earn it! Damn wintraders.....

nice assumptions there. I'm simply aware of around were my skill ceiling is in PvP, and "just bruteforce grind your way to Diamond, lol" doesn't work if you're stuck in ranged queue hell. (also I got a bit too much latency to find healing enjoyable)yOu JuSt WaNt ThInGs FoR fReE bEcAuSe YoU'rE lAzY
All I'm asking for is a better compensation of my time spend that isn't some old glam weapon (that now everyone will mistake for one of the current tome weapons) sometimes in a year or so.
For example: in an older thread on this topic I brought up the idea of adding a new form of currency to ranked feast that is on a low weekly cap. So by playing x games. week for y weeks in total you get access to a new seasonal reward (or those of older seasons). This would also give people a reason to stay engaged in ranked throughout the whole season.
