Well, remember the healer had no problem with me until we reached the final part of the dungeon. Also, inmediately after that I went to get some new ítems and ran Tam Tara (I had gained two levels with the exp) and it was a smooth run.

You dont know if the healer wasnt sitting there the whole time wondering "Why do I have to work so hard to keep this guy up? Its only Sastasha, he shouldnt be taking this much damage..." until they finally got their answer when they figured out that you were wearing unappropriate gear.

And I'm hoping that by "went and got some new items" you actually mean you got tank-gear - because if you didnt chances are that, again, the reason Tam Tara was a smooth run was the healer picking up your slack in gearing.
Seriously... wether a run is good or bad means little in terms of how well you did, its a reflection of group-effort. I've healed bad and undergeared tanks before and they must have left dungeons with the impression that everything was fine when infact everything was only fine because I busted my ass to keep them alive.
Personally I also dislike "the run was smooth!" as a reply to constructive critiscm. Yeah, sure, you might have cleared that dungeon. Might have even been smooth. Doesnt mean you cant improve and nothing is easier than improving on ones gear.

Dies because of too much damage in relation to not wearing the right gear
Calls out healer for not healing them because they're taking too much damage because they aren't wearing the right gear
Gets kicked because they're calling out the healer while they're not wearing the right gear
Blacklists the healer for votekicking them because they weren't wearing the right gear.

You have a level 80 DRK, you should understand the importance of gearing as a tank, especially in low level content where people may be learning how to heal and we don't have as many tools to work with.

Lvl 20 gladiator cant get better gear than he has right now, especially before doing any dungeons.
Maybe he should seek for HQ gear on the market before doing sastasha? BIG LOL.

Starting to lvl GLD I get to lvl 16 and press auto equipment, then proceed to queue for Sastasha.
At the first pack of mobs I die due to not getting a single heal and, sure enough, I notice my HP drops a bit quickly for a tank but nothing to be worried about, its Sastasha after all.
After that we continue without problem until we get to the Captain´s quarters. Then, the healer notices my shield gives INT and my gloves are for crafters. Keep in mind thats the only non tank pieces of equipment I had, since I checked after that notice. After that notice the heals just stopped coming: she let me die while healing the dps, even though I tried to keep doing my job rushing from the shortcut each time I died.
Shortly before the last boss I call out on her, that even though my equipment might not be optimal I´m doing my job (remember we had no problems until she stopped healing), which is something that can´t be said about her. Just as the last boss starts I get vote kicked.
She had the dubious honor of being the first person I blacklisted ever.

So instead of actually going to the market board or a vendor to make sure your gear was up to date you basically said eff it and queued anyway? Being a tank means your gear needs to be optimal at all times so I really fail to see how you were doing your job. Next time, don't be lazy. Gil is so easy to come by and you have access to multiple market boards via world transfer so there is no excuse!

Doing The Hall of Novice will give you a set thats not only level appropriate (I mean, technically crafting gear of that level is level appropriate...) but also fits your actual role - a tank can wear gear thats meant for physical DPS-jobs, but that doesnt make it tank-appropriate gear.
The Brand-new-equip you get from Hall of Novice however is a set thats both appropriate for that level and your job. So no need to get HQ-equip from the marketboard.

Personally I dont have that much of an issue with someone not wearing up-to-date-gear in leveling dungeons, but I have an issue with the attitude of "I dont need to gear up, its just leveling!" or the notion of "The run went smooth, I must have done everything right!"
Not having up to date gear can happen - but the "right" response in my book when someone points that out to you is not to dismiss it and tell yourself that its alright when other people pick up your slack but to figure out if theres something you can reasonably do about it - in most cases there is. The marketboard is only one of those options - Hall of Novice is a second one and reaching a certain level your GC becomes a third.

He wrote this post about his time when he was level 16, which btw is the level you need to be to even enter Satasha.

Said almost all of his gear was good expect that his shield had INT (which is most likely either the level 12 or 14 shield) and was using crafters gloves. Tank gear is designed specifically for tanks to add much defensive main base stats and that's really huge at the lower levels where most of the substats give you +1 if anything. So that's a pretty hefty chunk of defensive stats being missed out which even they remarked that their health was going down much quicker.

All of the cheap tank gear is extremely easy cheap to buy in any of the major cities, and you can just sell the gear right after using it or even make back the money you spent just running Satasha anyway.

Yeah, if I were the healer in this run and didn't see any brand-new ring on a sprout tank, I would've given them the benefit of the doubt. Would've told them to run Hall of Novice for that nice "brand-new" gear after the dungeon.

But in this case said GLA has multiple jobs on 80, including a tank.

So I expect them to get decent gear before jumping into a dungeon - doesn't have to be "brand-new" gear, but at the very least lvl 15 TANK gear. Half of their equipment was in NQ and Disciple of War gear.

Honestly, I am not surprised that the healer had 'enough of their sh*t'. You shouldn't be expected to babysit people that have finished the next 2-3 expansions. Not getting adequate gear is basically neglecting your job, I can (almost) not blame the healer not doing theirs'.

You dont need HQ tank gear for Sastasha lol. NQ disciple of war gear from what i recall is the bulk of what quests give you. I leveled my tanks before hall of the novice was a thing, that healer shouldnt have had any problems, especially since all tanks now have a passive +20% defense buff at all times. You can run sastasha basically naked. Not saying the tank shouldnt have been in better gear but to stop healing the tank entirely is a jerk move.

Tanks today get their tank stance deffensive bonus at lvl 1 and they are a lot more tanky than they were in sastasha in SB. This bonus alone make him tankier than any tank that were doing sastasha in previous expansion, and tanks back then had no problems finishing the dungeon anyway.
I call it, making fus out of nothing.

You all aren't seeing the big picture. It's all about establishing good habits. These same tanks making excuses for "oh it's just sastasha lulz" turn out to be the same tanks I have to babysit in Bardam's Mettle or Holminster or whatever SB/ShB dungeon that hits hard enough to where I need to utilize my entire tool kit. Yes, it may be a "smooth run" for you but that's because I'm busting my tail trying to keep you alive because you can't be arsed to simply update your gear like a normal tank is supposed to do. More and more I see why "Healers adjust" is such a thing in this game. If I were the healer, I would have kicked that tank we're talking about well prior to the final boss as that healer has A LOT more patience then I would of had.

"It's Sastasha!", and? No one should be going into any dungeon with the wrong gear. Stop making excuses for the guy. No one in this game exists to babysit you.
