This will probably be where the story ends when they get around to dealing with Elidibus and the obligatory Final Fantasy IV references.
Dalmasca and Ilsabard.
- Sky (FFXI) or Laputa (Castle in the sky) like area. Azim Steppe has almost that feeling of Laputa to be honest (just on a smaller scale), I wonder if they listened to this feedback for that- I quite like that area..
- Underground, ancient magical civilization, particularly I think with thick water themes (like an underground magical rivendale). Undercity from WoW might be an example but in this case I'd love for it to be not so dead.. undead.. lol, mystery allowed but not corrupted and dead nor haunted (although it could start that way and Ishgard/Doma reconstruction back to life).
- Rivendale, or other water inspired cities like Zanarkand or Altissia... There is a place that I feel quite listened to already on this point (sincerely thank you, <3), but I love them endlessly so I could "have another" lol.
- Great Dune areas but with some sort of super fantasy focal point or mystery, so like Southern Thanalan x100. Imagining a great worm (Dune lol), huge tree, large sinkhole maestrom, a sea of sand (FFXII), etc. Maybe some inspiration from Journey (that very pretty indie desert exploration game)
- A bioluminescent nature area, like Avatar (doesn't need to be a forest, could be a desert.. which could be a really wild neat effect- sand sea in the day and a wild colorful paradise at night, perhaps even new areas appear at night, flying colorful whales and floating islands pouring vibrant water into the sand sea below)
- Stereotypical "viking" / northern lands (Greenland, Iceland, some of Northern Europe). Basically an extension of Ishgard's land and the some of old Coerthas, making sure to get glaciers as well. I know they can be a bit flat so maybe with some variation like Witcher 3's Skellige. Nice opportunity to add some fantasy inspired geothermal stuff (Yellowstone can be some inspiration too).
- Zeal Chrono Trigger
- Pure nonsense zones, not just dungeon areas (which we have and are quite beautiful), like the Far Planes in FFX (that area that is a mix of waterfalls, flowers in all directions, etc).
- A madly stacked city, perhaps a bit like some of the FFIX busy cities (Lindblum). I'd love for it to be a highly inspired airship place too.
- Bit cheating but.. airship of my own. lol That's a zone.. but obviously far more than just a zone :P. (May as well also ask for a personal creation magic zone but yeh.. hehe)
- On that asking way more than just a zone.. but technically still a zone request lol.. Chocobo Paradise and related zone content
- More of a theme concept but a zone that is dedicated to just reeking of mystery and old spirit (music would be /very/ important here), taking inspiration from some of Shadow of the Colossus areas and of course their own previous content like sanctuary of Zi'tah. Mists and mystery. Definitely a slow paced zone.

Places I would like to see as a zone(s) that could actually be explored.
- Tartarus (they've already set up a connection to potentially see it).
- Large underground area like the Dark World/Underworld from FF4.
- The moon of course. Make it where Elidibus has set up his personal base of operations.
- Garlemald, both the city and the surrounding city-state.
- Thavnair.
- A large city that is built on water and has a bunch of canals, waterfalls, fountains, etc. like Altissia from FF15. Maybe even combine this and the other area I want to see, Thavnair, and make Radz-at-Han this crazy opulent water city surrounded by desert.
- An entire zone/area that is haunted and full of undead and voidsent that is always dark and foggy, with all the cheesy elements you would expect. Basically Halloweentown the zone.
That is basically the Sylph areas of the East Shroud.

I would like to see a Thunder Plains type area (FFX). I think having a lot of lightning themed enemies running around, plus the random jolts of lightning if you stay still too long, would help take a dark, rainy locale to the next level.
Second, I'd like to see a huge ruined-city area. An underwater ruined city, or maybe an above ground Midgaresque ruined city.
I'll put in another vote for the moon.
Honestly, I just hope that the final zone in 6.0 is something, anything, truly special. What I mean is, there's nothing wrong with The Lochs, or The Tempest. As typical zones, they're both fine. But for my money, the last open zone for each expansion should be something very unusual and exceptional. Azys Lla pulled that off. Lochs and Tempest are fine for normal zones but lacking for final zones.
Some areas from FFIX like Qu's Marsh*, and Terra would be nice. From FFX/X-2 the Macalania Woods, Zanarkand Ruins, and the Farplane. From FFXIII some of the crystallised areas maybe, if it wouldn't be too similar to the ice dungeons and Mor Dhona.
Also, I'd like it very much if they used this old concept art for the Gridania housing area for a new city-state or village sometime:
Edit: I'd also like to see a city and/or ruins floating in the ocean somewhere, and an airship (pirate) city bigger than the community seen during the Shadow of Mhach raid series.
*Like a big swamp land with high grass, but there's probably graphics limitations that would prevent this.

So many fun suggestions in this thread! I've never known how much I wanted to visit some of the places posted!
So for me;
1. Desert zone, kinda like Ivalice. - The desert zones in games always stood as a place of change towards endgame; it was like the disc 3 zone in a lot of cases for me. I actually go visit the 1 desert zone we have outside of U'ldah a lot XD. It could also be varied - giant vast endless sea of sand with deep dark caves burying into the earth. The caves could have beautiful hues of blue, white, purple, and red crystals and streaming rivers going off into gaping holes of abyss. So cool...
2. More Pixie / flower areas. - I honestly thought Il Mheg (sp) was going to be my least favorite zone when they showed it off, but I thought it was super refreshing to see the dev team provide a completely beautiful zone.
Honestly... the more I think about it, the more zones I'm going to list from ShB lol! Raktika helped me with coming to grips of losing that scary mysterious Gridania from 1.0 (Yeah I'm the only person that liked that zone... it was creepy and I got lost which added to my experience of the forest), Il Mheg, Ahm Arang (sp). The only zone I didn't really like was Khoulsia, b/c it ends up just looking like an uglier version of la noscea.
