"That's just reality" is a poor argument, because reality can change. It has changed; social outlooks in many places around the world are different than they were 10 years ago, significantly different from what they were 50 years ago, and radically different from what they were 500 years ago. Many evils have followed us to the present, yes, but the potential for progress exists. But this is the reality. In an ideal world where people are devoid of perverse sexual desire, dressing up however you want wouldn't matter. In this reality, it shouldn't. Keyword here being should not. And we can advocate it all we want.
Sadly, that's not how it is. I don't know how else to explain it without looking like an ass but it's the same principle of the "dark alley". Ideally, you should be able to walk in a dark alley without any issues. You should be fine. But the reality is, would you risk it?
That's what I surmise Granyala is trying to point out.
The first step in standing for change is rejecting the notion that something should be accepted just because it exists. The second step is to act on that ideal.
Wouldn't it be nice to live in a world where people didn't get unwanted attention because of how they look? We can't get there overnight, but we can work towards it.
I also think that "just pointing out how the world is," in response to grievance over why that is bad, focuses upon the agency of the be-grieved over the actors responsible for the ill. Thus, it helps to deflect responsibility from where it truly lies and ensures that ill continues to exist. 'That's just the way it is' is apathetic at best and tacitly accepting of the bad thing at worst.

As to original topic, this sort of unapproved photography is undeniably creepy and should be held against those who do it when/where possible. It's invasive and disturbing in the same vein as like activities in real life, only lessened in degree by the protection of anonymity and distance on behalf of the person being creeped on.

I say we should report any player caught taking lewd screenshots to the authorities. Lock them up, and throw away the key!

Would be nice if people werent trained into thinking that somebody looking at another person is this bad "unwanted attention" taboo. But challenging it requires the 1st step, which is the 1st hurdle. (Using the quoted logic)The first step in standing for change is rejecting the notion that something should be accepted just because it exists. The second step is to act on that ideal.

Moral right/wrong are based on emotions. Certain people/groups get priority over whos emotions matter more. You cant fight "notions that are socially accepted" because they are always a part of this. And in turn, if you try to stop accepting these notions, the very logic you're using will also apply to you now. (Based on the requirement/merit of "notions just accepted because/emotion")
In the end, its a popularity contest based on popular emotions, and who's in the bigger group.
Sometimes a group is bigger because more people naturally feel "This is good/bad."
Sometimes a group was smaller, but convinced a larger number of people because "This might be just an emotion, but it leads to this tangible good/bad thing, such as "not starving". And we all agreed prior, we all liked not starving*." (*insert random good thing, that others naturally agree with unquestionably)
When people are split on a subject, both sides try to argue the tangible benefits/negatives.
In this case, this is something with no real tangible elements. Just emotions, which fluctuate based on perspective.
Its an emotional popularity contest of who agrees, and who disagrees based on emotions.

Emotions don't care if somethings are 'pixels on a screen'. Don't stand idly by and accept things that make you uncomfortable. Voice out your displeasure, and if they still continue to bother you, then it becomes harassment, which should be reported.
We are literally on the topic of people walking in under your dress to take upskirt photos of your panties and sharing around, not people throwing an approving eye at you while walking by.
Learn, explore, and think for yourself. Make your choices, take actions, and let yourself be free.
I can't believe this is a discussion, it's a damn game people!
It's not creepy. Characters aren't people. I have always found it weird how compulsively many people sexualize characters though, especially the whole "I'd rather stare at a female butt than a male butt" when guys justify playing female characters, as if such a thing even needs justification.
You can't violate pixels.
