I feel that adding the face option for Hrothgar in the Aesthentician as a quick fix would break something because of the game's spaghetti code.
It probably would break something, actually. Specifically that they almost certainly wouldn't be able to do it without letting all other races access that same setting - assuming their spaghetti coding lets them add/remove settings from the aesthetician menu in the first place.

It's the inverse of the reason why Au Ra can partly change their eye colour (limbal rings) when no other race can change parts of their physical appearance - they use the same setting on the character template that is normally used for racial tattoos or earrings, which are editable.

Doable, yes - but have you considered that for a lion race, that might actually be considered a female hairstyle?

(Which could work for people wanting to pretend it's a female character, I guess...)

I don't think that's a Hrothgar-specific problem, although the distance might be.

A lot of circlets seem to float somewhere in front of the face so they'll sit over hair rather than being lost in it. Sometimes this works, sometimes it looks terrible.

I've mainly noticed it (or remember noticing it) on my male Au Ra who is using the high ponytail hairstyle with the long fringe - sometimes things sit over it that really should go under.

Elezen don't really seem to fit the "wood elf" fantasy archetype much. Gridanians do, but (as far as we know) there are no Viera tribes in the Twelveswood. If anything, the Padjal are closer to the elf archetype than any of the Elezen residents.

Beyond that, they're really just tall humans, not 'special' like elves usually are. The Coerthans don't have any ties to the forest at all.
