We're just talking about showing us a few screenshots, not giving us an early release of the game.

I know and its understandable, I chew at the bit waiting for them as well. My assumption is that they dont cause if they decide to change something the forums would explode. At this stage they are prob tweaking alot still so they do not want to set up ppl expectations ^^
Note to self... never reply.
I think it's important for us to let you all know that we are planning for these things, instead of just not replying if we don't have specific dates/information/screenshots/demo/playable/trailer/animatic/stick figures to share. It can go both ways, though, for sure. It's important to have concrete information on specific topics, but for things that are asking for previews of upcoming content, I'd rather we be forthcoming with information like "yep, we're workin' on it!" or "sorry, no plans at this time for [xyz]." That way, everyone is in the loop as much as possible.

Here I am, quoting the same paragraph from that big-ass button to the left on the Lodestone main page....
Among our new plans is the fundamental reworking of in-game maps. As part of this process, there will be a period required for switching over to a new client and new servers, after which there will be a large transfer of data when service is brought back online. After the new client is completed, new software for the PC version will be distributed online, and can be acquired free of charge. Character data and progress for players already playing the PC version will also be preserved, allowing those players to continue using their in-game avatars. Another announcement will be made in the future as the day on which the new FINAL FANTASY XIV software will become available for download draws near, and the PlayStation®3 system version officially released.

Indeed, some people are just so utterly impatient about things lol. We all want to know more about 2.0 but you can keep replying, a lot more understand thisNote to self... never reply.

Try to go one day without complaining once =P Good luck lol. We are lucky they reply even if the reply isn't exactly what you are hoping for. At least they didn't just ignore the thread and let it go on for pages with us wondering what is going on.

That has been my mantra for 99.9% of these threads since the Forums 1st opened.
I am still debating (with myself...a MasterDebater) when my Crysta runs out should I post the Mother of all "Not Another Goodbye Threads"...but I will most likely just fade away quietly.
In fact, I should just delete this reply but oh well.
