To say this has made my day would be an understatement. I really like playing PGL and hope to have a lot of fun trying this out.

So basically, even the JP community admit that PGl is not on PT demand.
"Harder to play, but doesn't have more reward."
Just wonder why NA community is so stubborn to say the otherwise :P

I'm not saying the classes used in his example isn't class-stacking, just that the strategy employed favours Melee-heavy groups, not PGL groups or class-stacking. The comment I responded to implied that this strategy is a PGL-stacking strategy which simply isn't the case, it was just an example used due to the lack of love for that specific class. The strategy can essentially work with any melee. Not that I disagree or anything but...
check out the SS that is posted in the OP. 4 PGL in that screenie... that is class stacking.
I don't have anything against class stacking and no matter what way you slice it, with only 7 classes you will need at least 2 of something (healer would be the obvious since there is only one class that can).
I'd be interested in an LS making a kill video (full kill vid) of LNC, PGL, MRD, GLA, THM, ARC, CON CON party - that would shut some people up

Actually PGL is harder to play and comes with a lot of inherent risk due to low range as well as a lot to manage, but the reward is quite clear: highest DPS potential out of all DDs.
This would be my ideal setup in ANY dungeon or primal fight.
Get a party of friends together that each know their class (or job when then next patch hits) and beat every bit of endgame content with it.
All the battles/dungeons/bosses etc were designed with this setup in mind.

It would be fun to do that![]()
Love to see people trying PUG! Its been my main job forever and the one I take the most pride gearing up, but I'm constantly shafted on using it because I have a very good CON and THM. I would love to try this strategy for sure (A little iffy on not taking out BLM first, but I don't think the strat is set in stone!)
My goal is to get my Blue Mage Thread seen by Yoshida!
Support the thread and its idea! - http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/333552-FFXIV-Blue-Mage-Could-It-Work-I-think-it-can...-and-here-s-how%21
Remember! #bluemagexiv!
Not sure if this would be possible for players (such as those from Europe) who experience a short delay. The game seems more responsive for Japanese & North American players. For example, I find that EU players have a harder time avoiding eruption even though on their computers the character has moved out of harm's way. For anyone who does experience any kind of delay while playing the game it makes executing a successful combo more difficult, especially if the target moves around a lot. To be sure, skill has something do with it, but just wanted to point that out. I believe this is also a reason why certain players prefer ARC in this fight.
