My god, someone has it right! I'm sick of people complaining that they have to make a choice somewhere down the line. You know, I hate making decisions and I'm terrible at doing so, but I still want them in this game. It contributes to everyone having a unique experience with the game, and it makes you put more thought into what you're doing.

-You're supposed to be able to do everything on a single character
-There aren't supposed to be "missables"
-Content you're deprived of on one character will cost you real money and large quantities of time if you want to experience it first-hand

This isn't just an RPG. This is an MMO where new characters cost extra money, and content is being made missable without making multiple characters. If you want a game where you get large, branching storylines and multiple endings, go play an offline RPG. That type of structure is just gonna leave people burned in an MMO, especially one where extra characters aren't free.

That's how I would summarize the majority of this thread.

It sucks for you man, but if you don't have someone who can capture the footage for you and you don't have people that will come act in your machima or w/e maybe you should examine your attitude. Sorry they didn't know you were going to do your project when they were creating grand companies. If we can switch grand companies what is the point? Anyone can bounce around to whatever GC they want, no sense of allegiance can be established and we will all experience the exact same thing. Sorry if me disagreeing with you rubs you the wrong way. Don't hold your breath waiting for them to change it. Btw you said you have been working on that for three months? Coulda leveled a character or 20 to 45 in that time and had each experience in each nation. You wouldn't even need a PL!

That's the key difference: Single class characters. They aren't advertised as being able to do everything on one character. And, generally speaking, you're allowed to make multiple characters without being charged extra for it. In this game, you're supposed to be able to experience everything the game has to offer on a single character. Did you even read my post?
