Oh god, you are NOT creative, you are NOT talented, you took someone else's months of hard work and put your name on it, you are so full of yourself that it is a miracle you have not exploded by now.

I'm sure they will be implementing a cutscene replay function in the future, and this seems like a good solution to me.

It's not simply a “different perspective”...

Well, clearly the “main story”, meaning the threat of Dalamud/Meteor and mentions on the Allagan Empire, is there, but in the video I posted with the Twin Adder mission, after 04.20 there're informations not told in the missions I did as a member of the Maelstrom. Not only there're the 2 Legati together, but I could link this cutscene to my (extremely well done, of course) cutscene of the Maelstrom, where Gaius van Baelsar appears in upper La Noscea looking for the tomestones. Apparently, the cutscene of the Twin Adder quest is what happened cronologically before what I saw in the cutscene of the Maelstrom.
Way too important to be left out or “to look for on YouTube”, in my opinion.

In that Twin Adder mission, we see Baelsar and Darnus in Mor Dhona: the first Legatus is doubtful about the use of Meteor – something I would have never guessed by looking at the Maelstrom mission, as it happens later in time – and Nael says to Gaius about “his personal obsession in conquering Eorzea”, so he might have some personal motives. This is new information and particularly characters' characterization, giving more to their personality. Really, if you're from the Maelstrom just look at the video and you'll see for yourself.

The Twin Adder mission is a prequel to the Maelstrom mission, that happens cronologically before it. How could this not be of importance? The same applies to the Maelstrom quest, of course (video here), where I learned about Cid's father, Midas nan Garlond, who once was a close friend of Gaius van Baelsar. And Gaius here aquires a tomestone after Cid throw it to him.
This doesn't look like it's mentioned in the Twin Adder quest, and in my opinion – at least for someone interested in the lore – is something quite important. It's not simply a “different perspective”...

In the first post I didn't ask to give us the same cutscenes for all Grand Companies: I thought they were all the same, OK, but now that I discovered they're not I simply asked to give has the chance to fully enjoy the whole storyline, considering those cutscenes are beautiful and offer unique tidbits.
They're so very well done, why can't we enjoy them all?

I'm not really an “OK, I noticed that the story cutscenes offer different and important informations: I'll just cross my fingers and hope they'll give me a chance to properly see them in the future!” type of adventurer. I prefer to let my voice be heard, despite the risk of this forum where misunderstandings are common stuff and having to clarify everything again like I did now.
What matters is that the message and the real point of the Topic will arrive at destination.

You also realize that Twin adder people also miss out on story details too, right? It goes both ways and IMO it is nice to get people talking about the story by comparing differences and talking over information than by just having everyone be able to do everything.

But no, right? god forbid two people meet in an adventurer's guild and share tales of different adventures they've experienced after they walked two different paths, no, we better merge everything so silvertearen can feel an inkling of self-importance while plagiarizing other's work and labeling it as their own because they managed to rip a song from a different game and copy-paste it over.

All the fuss is likely due to the Legati' presence (THE most popular characters in the game) than anything else, IMO. If it were a regular quest with just Cid dropping the same info, don't think it would have the same impact and warrant this thread.

With that said, a way to see other GC's cutscenes and reviewing past scenes is not a bad idea.

ANd people complaining that a game offers us choices that leads us to slightly different events (even if, in the end, they all lead to the exact same spot and storyline) is a new thing for me.

    Lore conversations are OK, but...

This is exactly what I said in the third paragraph of my previous post.

About the rest of your message, I partly agree with you: as I'm very interested in lore I very much like to talk about the lore of Eorzea while in Eorzea. However:

    1. In my World I know veeery few adventurers interested in the lore and in the 7th Umbral Era story. Latest example: a few hours ago, before finding that Twin Adders video, I went to Eorzea and asked an adventurer of this Grand Company if he remembered about a mission where there were the 2 Legati together. He vaguely remembered something, but nothing really. Forgetting about such an event means not having real interest in the story (skipping dialogues?), and like I said I don't know many adventurers who have any. Meeting at the Adventurers' Guild to speak about the story of Eorzea or the 7th Umbral Era... I wish!
Maybe I should speak of lore with my Subligar...

    2. I'm in Eorzea only for Eorzea, so I would like to enjoy all of its story (I don't care about super equipments and the like) without having to spend 6 more bucks or relying on YouTube: it's not the same thing living it in first person rather than watching or listening to others'.
So, despite my first point, even if I'd find a Gridanian or Ul'dahn who would like to talk about that mission, I would still want to do it (It seems like I'm asking the world. ). And the reason is that “LIVE” word mentioned by Yoshida-san: the contents of the 7th Umbral Era won't be repeated and I would like to enjoy them to their fullest, especially if they're in cronological order, thus of a certain importance, like I explained in the above post. That's all.

I hope we'll have a chance for this before the calamity is unleashed. Au revoir!

Funny how just a few months ago the community whined when Yoshida said there will be no difference between the GC's stories, and now when there appears to be some differences the community whines again.

Both sides of this discussion are completely over-reacting to each other, as is normal on the internet... However, I'm inclined to side with those in favor of being able to experience all the major cutscenes without relying on others or paying another $6 and investing even larger amounts of time into the game.

I don't think anyone wants every Grand Company to have the exact same quests with different start-points. But I think it would be better if the story arcs diverged, then came back together at each major event. Have the minor quests that don't involve fully articulated and animated cutscenes be different, but have them all lead to the same major events in the over-arching storyline. That way it's only the more mundane events that are different, and no one's major plot points will be more or less entertaining than anyone else's.

In a game like Skyrim or Dragon Age, it's okay to have the story be different every time with different cutscenes. It's easy to re-experience the story in those games, because you can have multiple save files, you don't have to pay for new characters, etc. the same can't be said about an MMO. It's important for everyone's experience to be equal. Please note, I said equal, not the same. It's a balancing act of unique, exclusive content, and depriving players of things they really want to experience.

And to those of you taking jabs at SilverTearRen about using someone else's material for his/her project, that's what video editors do. Most video editors don't shoot their own footage. They take footage someone else has shot, and put it together in ways that make it more than just individual shots and scenes. Silver never claimed to own the characters or footage that he/she used, and he/she isn't making money off of it. It's completely fair use.
