Believe it or not, if someone isn't rude, I will spend a very long time (the entire timer) to the commitment of helping a new player, or someone trying to get something. I have stayed for an extra 3-4 hours in a mount farm because I told the person "as long as the group stays together, I will stay until everyone gets their mount". If I seriously tell someone I am going to do something, I become committed. As for a new player, if they ask for help or seem to be struggling, and it is due to them being new (as in new to the fight), I will help them, and even carry on the burden of soloing mobs or fights if I have to (overuse of DCD).
Contrary to popular belief I have hardly ever used the kick feature, I advocate for it, but I never use it. I get kicked, but I do not kick others. Nor do I ever report anyone even when they are actually rude. Even my blacklist is completely empty. You know all those runs I would say "wow this took forever, this guy wasn't using aoe"? Yeah, I never bothered to kick them. I hardly ever leave, even when they take forever. I just like to post hyperbolic statements when I am bored, if people haven't picked that up yet.
