When did calling PS4 players “console peasants” become acceptable?

About the same time the PC users were allowed to break the rules and use a parser and fight to the death on the forums against anyone trying suggest ps4 users should have their own parser. There was another type of people back a long time ago that wanted a master race too...

PC players are not "Allowed" to use it, people who do it risk losing they account if SE find out they are using it.

I joke about "console peasants", but I mean nothing by it. To me it's just a thing akin to how the Navy and Marines are always digging at each other - but when the chips are down they have each other's back.

1. You don't need to break the bank to play on PC. There are some perfectly acceptable PCs out there if you shop around that will meet minimum specs and perform at least as well as a console for the same price range. You may not be able to crank up the graphics, BUT with PC you can swap out parts later as you can afford them - something you can't do if you box yourself in by getting a console. So maybe you get a min spec PC that you can afford now, and then a few months later you can splurge for that better graphics card, just open it up and slot that in!

2. There seems to be this inferiority complex going on regarding jobs. I'm not doubting min wage jobs suck. But it's temporary - as you get older and work on career/school/marketable skills you will move on and be able to afford nicer things, it's how it goes. (And if you aren't moving along, maybe ask yourself how you're prioritizing your time and work/life balance. MMOs are a great hobby but don't let that come at the expense of your career.)

Lemme rephrase it again.. They are insulting PS4 for being inferior than high end PC, it's pointless to defend PS4 when you don't even get paid by sony.. and it is not you who is being insulted either.. well until you people playing the victim that is..

In the however long since 2.0 launch I have NEVER heard anyone call PS3/PS4 players "console peasants".

I think this is just drama for drama's sake. Yelling FIRE!!! over just a lit match. Can you find 1 or 2 stupid players saying stupid things? When you have hundreds of thousands of active players of course you will.
