I did fine too. Maybe you had the worst luck ever with dnc procs. But using standar and technical on cool down and he was pretty easy.

I see a lot of dancers that don't use standard step on cooldown; only to refresh the buff. Which is a huge mistake. Standard step is actually your biggest source of dps. If you aren't using it every 30 seconds then you're really gimping your damage.

I'm curious how I was able to one shot it on my PLD that was undergeared yet actual DPS can't seem to clear it.

Yes, 2nd boss needs to be killed before it finishes readying Burst.

I've found the best way to deal with the situation is to simply agree with people who think their DNC is bad and say they should play whatever they think is better. The DNC is literally the simplest class to play and if peeps haven't figured it out then they are never going to. When you tell them how to play it properly, their emotional defenses are going to go up and they're going to call you a toxic elitist. Leave them to their fantasy and echochambers.

It doesn't hurt the rest of us, it doesn't hurt them. Everyone is happy.

I know its contrary in your line of thinking. You're just wanting to help. I get it, I want to help too. But in 2019, people don't want help, they want to vent. Just let them have their venting. We do more harm than good by trying to help. It doesn't work anymore.

When I run Dohn Mheg. I occassionally see the Fantasia phase after the big swamp monster thing. Where the boss turns into a little toad thing. When I did the dungeon in Trust, that never popped up. So for it to pop up in a DF group means the other DPS is doing less damage than Alisae, Minfilia, or Yshtola.

We can't say its because they don't AOE. Its a 100% single target fight. So literally single target to single target, some players are doing less DPS than NPCs. The NPCs can do the bare minimum of damage as evidenced by the fact you can run two of them if you Tank or Heal in a trust. So... that means if a player runs a Trust as a DPS and fails a DPS check. Its not their class (as evidenced by others being just fine), its not the NPCs, its only them. Them and only them.

The dps check on the 2nd boss? I wasn't aware it was even possible to fail that.

I don’t even know what you guys are talking about. So I’m guessing I had no issues because I can’t remember it.

Use Standard/Technical Step off cooldown.
Use Flourish off cooldown.
Use Fan Dance 3 procs when you get them.

DNC is proc/cooldown reliant. Use them often and you'll do fine damage-wise. It very well can be used for single target.
