    From what I personally can hear, there are sounds effects that have been changed in minor ways that I can't tell if it's better or worse than what we had before... and then there are the sound effects that sound straight-up inferior to what we had previously, such as the Keen Edge combo. There isn't a single new sound effect that I can point to and say, "this is superior to what we had before" and that's bad. My overall impression is that the sound quality has been degraded.

    I mourn burst strike, I liked all the old sound effects but i can see why people are saying the gnashing combo is better now, but burst strike was one of my favourite sounding abilities

    I played GNB for 5 minutes before having to stop because of the high pitched sounds that felt both weak and inappropriate for a gunblade. As someone else said, it felt like using scissors or a surgeron weaving a magical scalpel that'd cut through anything (that's not how swords work). And that sound was present on almost every main skill. Very annoying.
    On the other hand, I do agree that the new sounds feel a bit too blunt.

    The FFVIII sounds were pretty much perfect. The slicing felt nice and carried some weight, and the trigger would make a loud explosion after the slicing sound, blending the two quite well. None of the old and new version of FFXIV's sounds managed to achieve that. Both were too extreme in the way they approached things. I think the answer lies in the middle.

    Honestly i think the best solution anyway is to just bring back old sounds. It feels they really put some love into them, new ones were clearly rushed and sound bad. In original sounds you can hear slicing, pulling the trigger, and other "mechanical" sounds of the gunblade. It just sounds like a gunblade. If someone didn't like it should go play another job. Keep in mind these gunblades are relatively small and are used one handed. They can't sound like hammer. And don't even say something about Final Fantasy VIII, this game has 20 years, i don't want low quality sounds in modern game.
    They could add some improvements to explosions sounds, but considering how big failure new sounds are, i would prefer that they don't even touch it after revert.

    Remember to send them suggestions via in game menu. I will not give up my new main.

    I found old gunbreaker sounds really boring, and the fact I can actually hear gunshots when I use my GUNblade is good. They can stand to make the slicing sound louder, sure, I won't hate that, but if I only wanted to hear a SCHWING, Samurai exists. I care more about the gun part of gunblade because it's great that the separate moves that focus on BANG actually make a BANG sound. Machinist in Stormblood had a similar thing happen, where the wimpy sounds of their basic combo got beefed up with the Heated versions, and I was happy about that. I hope they don't take away the BOOM I want with Gunbreaker!

    Except in solid barrel you can no longer hear the bang of the gun, just lots of THUD all combo

    The easiest fix is technically Dissidia NT with squall's trigger sounds. The people who complained don't have the understanding that our weapon is lighter than normal.

    The gun sound is not there and the boom is really weak imo (the music alone almost covers it). GNB slicing soud wasn't highpitched like Sam before, but they just removed the "shwiiing" completely, it's just "Thud" now. It too low-piched and difficult to hear with a full team, music etc...
