Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
It will stop working the moment they lift the weekly limitation, and players will start to only spam the easiest fight, and thus causing queue problems for the ones that need to clear the other fights.
But I agree to convert the old ones into a single token, since it's a content covered by the roullete, and players does not do them anymore because of the gear.
Just stop hoarding older currencies then. The "but what if?" holds no water, just buy the thing you might maybe possibly some day want to get and throw away the left overs. Inventory management isn't hard.
If only there was some way to farm old fights quickly and easily so you didn't have to hold onto old currencies.
SE, please add this function!
How exactly will that change anything when they finally unlock it? All that makes for right now is that 2 will be spammed over 1 for gloves, and 1 will be spammed for everything else considering the drops look like this:It will stop working the moment they lift the weekly limitation, and players will start to only spam the easiest fight, and thus causing queue problems for the ones that need to clear the other fights.

He means under the singular token type suggestion. When it's unlocked nobody will bother with the harder fights, causing queue times for them to skyrocket.
Yes. And once it's unlocked with the current system - no one will bother with the hard fights.
AS far as tokens go e2 drops all of them, and e1 (the easiest of the 4) drops everything but the gloves.
e3 & e4 have a lot more going on then the other 2, and will still be dead once unlocked.
e4 will only be used to get the weapon.
Edit:
I feel like I should explain further.
Currently, e1 drops everything but gloves, and e4 drops everythign but the head & belt.
So, e1 & e4 will be used once the unlock happens. e4 was going to be used either way because it drops the weapon.
Now, if coins were used instead of the current system, and everyone got a coin.
e1 would be used as a quick coin grab, and e4 would be used for the weapon.
Either way, once the unlock happens. e1 & e4 will be the only ones queued for..

You misunderstand. The suggestion was that the tokens are condensed into 1. That one token can get you any gear piece so long as you have the sufficient quantity. Once the loot unlocks, meaning you aren't restricted to 1 per floor per week, people would only bother doing the easiest floor along with 4 for the weapon. What drops where now doesn't matter.Yes. And once it's unlocked with the current system - no one will bother with the hard fights.

I don't understand why the individual tokens can't be kept BUT just go into the currency section so they don't waste space. My saddle bag is filled to the brim with that stuff. At least you can access that without going to your retainer every time.
The current system is very clunky, I agree.
