Every single time I throw down Asylum with DF tanks, it feels like they're deliberately trolling me by standin a few inches outside of it. The friend bubble is for you, just step inside already.

Mog tomes and such are a big reason I can never really learn new classes.

Since this started I have seen Tanks in DoM gear, DPS gear, and actual tnking gear. So, I was basically going from easy to super hard for like two weeks and I'm going to run Omega raids to relax and get something besides BRD gear.

It's an normal, but always horrible...

That feel when the tank takes a huge spike of damage and dies right in the middle of you detonating your Earthly Star lol.

The moment you realize you are a joke of a healer, no you have to be one because an DD told you so. In holminster(dont know if its called the same in english) the tank is using near not one dmg reduction skill but pulls nearly everything he can see. After two mob groups without much waiting between(the fight with the two goat-thingy's) he get's melted because he is not using ANY dmg reduction skills in that fight AND my lightspeed is on cooldown... OH have i mentioned that he a few minutes ago, blamed me that i do no dmg and only heal spamming without doing anything else. ugh... the first leave for me in months, i was so sick and mad of them at that moment, i did since release ~10 rounds of that ini and thats the first run that got THAT problems. >_> i really feel like the 30 min ini block is more a protection for me, that i dont get the same group again. xD

Or maybe for the world, because i'm the worst healer... the whole time(30+ shadowbringer ini's) where everything was fine and smooth(only a few wipes with one tank that liked to eat dmg+ debuffs as candy) it had to be enormous luck. normaly, that kind of stuff lets me cold because i know better but... i dont know but this time it hurt me. ._. *sigh* sorry for my babbling, onward to the next run! :3

Had a sprout tank this morning in Snowcloak who kept stance-dancing and losing aggro. When I pointed out that tank stance is no longer a penalty and should be kept on, he told me "But the guides say...", I pointed out those guides are for Stormblood probably, but he ignored me and kept dancing through the dungeon anyway, routinely losing aggro in the process.

I had a tank that literally pulls everything like you would in the trust system.
Having Thancred as a tank, you're supposed to BRING the mob to him cuz he kinda just stands there.....

The tank was literally acting like we, the party, are NPC trust system.
Agro was EVERYWHERE. And he didnt understand that it doesnt work that way outside of the trust system.

I play WHM, SCH, and AST only. I've got some tales to tell. Let it be known I always keep myself as well-geared as possible.

Leveling roulette as SCH: The Stone Vigil
Party members were viewing cutscenes, so I decided to have a peek at my tank's gear to see if I was in for an easy or rough time. To all the tanks out there, if you think we don't peek at your gear, we totally peek at your gear. This guy is wearing accessories that are all under level 15, NQs, non-dungeon drops. His armor was random, mismatched NQ non-dungeon drops (likely early quest rewards) ranging from level 25-40. No materia. Now, as I'm sure we all know, The Stone Vigil is a level 41-43 dungeon. I don't remember what his weapon was; I think I was just afraid at this point. I didn't want to see any more!
So I'm thinking "Okay, maybe if he does really small pulls and the DPS burn the mobs fast, we will be fine." Tank charges into the dungeon, catches about 3 trash creatures, and his HP starts dropping like it's hot. I panic, and immediately load him up with everything I can, hoping to just keep everyone alive. Well, placing a few heals on him quickly attacks the trash mob and suddenly, I am now the tank AND the healer! What a delightful surprise. I do my best to keep myself AND this tank alive, but alas. It cannot be so. We both die, and soon, the DPS fall too. We've wiped within literally 1 minute of beginning the dungeon. We try again. Same thing, only he makes it like 5 steps further into another room where he attempts to pull that mob, too. I know that there is absolutely no hope. I feel really bad because I never am one to abandon parties unless it's truly not possible, but there's just no way, so I'm out. I take a breath of relief. After a few minutes, I decided to try again, so I queue up. Surprise! It's the Stone Vigil. Double surprise! It's the SAME TANK, with different DPS, who I am assuming abandoned ship as well. There's an awkward moment. He sees me. I see him...and I leave again! Needless to say, I decided to stay out of roulette for a while.

    (continued in my next post!)

    Shadowbringers, Dohn Mheg as WHM:
After running the dungeon first using the lovely trust system where I am guaranteed a reliable tank, I decided I wanted a full set of healing gear from this dungeon and that it might be faster with a regular party. I've seen the mechanics at this point and am comfortable with them. I get put into what appears to be a normal party, and we begin immediately, so no gear peeking from me. Tank rushes into the first mob, then pulls to the next, and the next. I am thinking "Wow, he must be confident. Okay." I am also hoping the DPS are good because my DPS as a WHM has been cut to basically useless. After only a few seconds, his HP is jumping down way more than it should. I am spamming every heal I got on him and he is barely clinging onto life with like 10% HP. Damage and aggro is flying off him to everyone else in the party until we finally all die. I realize this guy really shouldn't have pulled as much as he did. Oh well. Try again with a smaller pull, right?

Nah. Mr. Tank didn't wanna do that. Second time, he pulls EVEN MORE, and I am seething in my chair, panicking, spamming heals like pure madness. My MP is at the mercy of the gods. I use everything I can to maintain this pure chaos as not only can the tank not withstand damage, he can't hold aggro, so it's bouncing around all over the party. I put up Asylum fast, cause hells know we need it.

However, Mr. Tank has decided he is too good for Asylum, and therefore so is the rest of the party. He immediately gets OUT of the asylum bubble, thus dragging the giant mob and DPS with him. This entire time, he also appears to be playing some game of hopscotch around the area that only he can see. By some miracle of the divines, we make it out of this pull alive, with my MP completely drained and the tank at like 3% HP. So, one might think "Oh, that was very perilous, let's not do it again," right? Nope! Mr. Hopscotch Tank does this for the rest of the dungeon: pulling as much as the map will allow him, jumping around like a hot potato, stepping OUT of my attempts at AoE heals, never letting my MP regain. Aggro is bouncing all over to every party member, so we all get a fun chance to practice tanking! Did the entire thing with consistent low if not barely there MP. This was by far my WORST experience ever, but somehow, we managed to complete the dungeon.

Those are my two best. I hope I do not, or will not, have more to share in the future.
