when I first saw the help menu topic for limit break and read that it was shared across the party I figured I had no use for it and didn't want to be the player that accidentally wasted it with a wrong button press. So I just didn't put it on my hotbar

That is awesome. Lol! As a a Bard/MCH I totally relate. Our LB is only useful in emergencies and for large groups of baddies all lined up in a nice row. It's always better to leave the LB for the melee in a boss fight unless the DRG is busy tanking the floor. I have my LB on a hotbar that doesn't change when I switch classes, so it's there whether I need it or not.

My friend and I decided to try the new dungeons together, as our BLM and BRD. We have been playing this game since the Alpha and Beta testing, so we know our characters and what we should do.

So once we load to the new dungeon, we told the other party that we are new to this dungeon and we will try our best and the healer asks the tank to pull small pulls. The dude goes off and gets big pulls and he dies and he bad mouths the healer that he needs to heal better.

Then after that exchange things are alright up to the last boss. We fight and win and right at the end, the dude starts telling us that our DPS is low and that it's sad that he has to DPS for us and that gives us our numbers. He basically use Parser on us and tells us we are bad DPS and bad mouths us. I just told him that it's sad to for us to have a shit tank like him that doesn't know what he's doing half the time and left the party.

While I normally wouldn't say parsing is worth being reported, this is an instance where it is fully justified. So I hope you did.

report the dude. parsers have a strict don't ask don't tell policy. if he brought up your scores, he's screwed.

Tanks, if you have a scholar with you, please at least wait for an adlo before sprinting off to do wall to wall pulls.

I was doing 50-70 roulette solo yesterday as a BLM and got thrown into a level 50 dungeon. The tank was pulling big and the healer was a 51 sprout. There was a few near death pulls and the tank says something along the lines of, "Ah I wish I had more cooldowns to pop. I feel like I have almost nothing at this level."

I watched their cooldowns for the next pull and suggested that they pop Arm's Length. They must have thought I was joking because they said, "Why would I do that?" and even the other DPS added, "Nothing in this dungeon has a knockback." I explained that Arm's Length has a slow on it, making it fairly useful on trash pulls even if you don't benefit from the knockback prevention. The tank decided to humor me and tried it out in their next pull, after the slow applied they said, "Huh. TIL. Thanks."

It's definitely not the most amazing cooldown, but it does work...and it's always good to feel like you have another cooldown in your kit. I walked away from that dungeon with all 3 commendations and felt pretty good about helping out.

Don't worry, though, it was all very short-lived. Immediately after, I queued for trials and got Zurvan. MT cleaved everyone to death within the first couple of seconds of the fight. The second pull we decided to move to the side since he wasn't going to. After the platform was gone and we fell below, he spun the boss. Literally running circles around the boss, making him spin constantly, causing another wipe. 5min had passed by that point so we booted the tank and the OT, both the healers, and most of the DPS left shortly after. Queued again and got Zurvan...again. This new tank also cleaved us on the platform, but no spinning and we didn't wipe this time at least.

Ran duty roulette and got Halitali last night. Okay, could be worse. Right off the bat I notice that the tank is losing aggro to the MCH and WHM. They're a GNB so I think maybe they're new to tanking. Nope, they're a level 60 PLD.

Proceed through the dungeon. A bomb AoE kills them because that's what happens when they stand in an AoE.

The healer gets them up. They walk past a chain winch and then get mad at me for yanking it, since obviously we can't handle 6 whole enemies when synced to 23 (despite the fact that we're melting them). I just-- didn't want to backtrack tbh.

Proceeds to complain when we miss the next winch. Didn't attack fire sprites at the final boss to kick his vulnerability and went to all the torches instead.

Depressing.

Well. I just got out of an interesting Alliance Roulette. Well, the roulette itself wasn't interesting - it was just Syrcus Tower - but what happened in the instance was pretty interesting.

Apparently, there was a DNC in one of the alliances that was standing AFK at the entrances to the first couple of trash packs/bosses, and someone in my Alliance called them out for being AFK as we were coming up to the second boss (Glasya). The person lost their mind in alliance chat over it, because several others started to call them out for being AFK as well. I piped up during the trash pull before Amon saying that I personally don't like the idea of carrying dead weight but that was just my personal opinion. I didn't say much else through the rest of the run despite the others continuing to bicker in alliance chat - only other things I said were "Calling you out for being AFK isn't bullying you" and, when the person replied with "I wasn't AFK", I simply said, "Then why not just press buttons?".

Afterwards, I left the instance kind of rolling my eyes at what just happened (I've noticed a lot of people just AFKing in the level 50 24-mans, and despite it being level 50 content, it still annoys me), and I received a lovely message from this individual, who happened to be on my server. The first line is redacted for blatant profanity.



This is honestly the first time I've ever had someone get this upset over things. And I wasn't even the person hounding them the most - I said maybe 3 or 4 lines in total during the rest of the raid, and instead just watched the chat explode. The friend list spam was annoying as heck, though. I wasn't even going to bother blacklisting because it takes quite a bit to prompt me to blacklist/report someone, but when you're that insistent, it leaves me no choice, really. I don't have time for this kind of nonsense.

Wonder if they sent lovely little messages like this to everyone who called them out. Well, at least it was amusing, to say the least.

Just...wow I can't believe people are that petty these days I'm honestly shocked the same thing sorta happened to me but was in a trial roulette and we got Susano, I had a healer who kept rescuing my friend into stuff to kill him but he couldn't (healer kept getting hit by things while resucing and dying lol). We called em out on it and afterwards and he messaged me and my friend calling us trash, I wish I kept the logs but I dealt with bad groups all day I didn't feel like saving what he said to say, most of it was swearing and saying that he cleared Ultimate Ultima but I didn't care.

He even went to the FC house to yell at us but we just blacklisted him and then went into a duty, bottom line is if someone is attacking you online and even going so far as to trying to get you on Discord or going to your sever and TPing to your house there's some serious issues with them. Hopefully your experiences get better Hyomin I really do feel for ya.
