Except they already have. This hasn't even been an issue since 4.0 with both Jobs learning more Job-specific skills/traits that replace the Class variants, which practically made both of them separate already.

Now with 5.0, SCH is completely separated from ACN/SMN aside from level. They now have their own set of skills and traits from 1-50, labeled as SCH skills and not ACN. SMN and SCH only share one skill and it's Ressurection.
