Exactly! I see so many requests for a necromancer/scythe type of a job, but I fail to see any ideas that would actually fit in Final Fantasy. For me personally it needs to be whimsical and fantastical. Ran'jit fits the description completely. You, know when you list those things, those are a lot of requested new job themes I've seen pop up in the forums here every now and again. Could be interesting if they do let it out the box, considering it offers something that I've seen requested - ex: Morphing job, Scythe-wielding class, blood mage, etc

Dragoon was a dragonpet job in XIId call it something different. Like Dragonmancer or Channeler. Id rather have a more traditional Beastmaster that uses a ranged weapon like a crossbow. Square Enix has a chance with a unique job that we haven't seen before, and I'd rather they not waste it. A couple more pet jobs would be cool. Also for heavens sake no more limited jobs.
XIV has had impact on Square Enix. Just look at Octopath Traveler. Astrologian showed up in the game as Starseer. It also showed up in Bravely Second. XIV Is a great playground for new ideas that could breathe life into Square Enix games. A dragon oriented pet job would be a fun mainstay.
Sounds like Morpher from Tactics Advanced. They were related to the BST job where you collect monsters and store them in your own Monster Bank.
The morpher abilities had quite a wide range of usage. And like BLU, it has to collect and train the monsters for the skills. In other words, prime limited job candidate.

I wanted to see a 1v1 Ran'jit vs Zenos.
I screamed when I first watched the cutscene where Ran'jit kicked the cart AND the golem both!

We could Just call it Mystic/ Mystic Knight. Make it a new melee DPS Maiming job. Though personally i would want a dual wielding sword user and something less eastern inspired. We already have 3/4 melee DPS with eastern themes...
No more limited jobs, please!
Well let's just call it... Dragoon. Honestly we already have a class with a dragon theme - why not just add a similar skills to it for the next xpac.

With a badass scythe like that we can also call them Reaper job or RPR!
Lea.
