Whats your review of Shadowbringers /10? *Spoilers*

I mean we peaked, this was the top, the mystery of who the ascians are etc is over, we know what happened, why is happened and who zodiark is and why he is. All the tension and mystery is gone, all that's left is to beat zodiark and that's 100% guaranteed to happen.

Loved it from start to finish. It was already set to be the best expac they've had since Heavensward, but the last dungeon and the final battle of the MSQ completely short-d**ked everything Heavensward did alone. Like...everything about Amaurot was so intriguing and the way Emet-Selch described what happened during the Sundering while you were going about that dungeon was simply brilliant.

Also, Soken is a god.

P.S: Gunbreaker is so much godsdamned fun.

Not just the best ff14 expansion, but the best Final Fantasy made. Shadowbringers is incredible.

I really loved the fact that our character is way more 'talkative' now, that surely added a bunch of extra positive points for the expansion to me.

Definitely a 9.5/10 for me; I logged in to the forums the first time in uh..a while.. to say that.

I don't think I was disappointed in anything except maybe 3 things:
1. doing damage is fun but where did my utility go. can i steal maybe half of it back from dnc? thanks
2. no Mt Gulg theme in Mt Gulg (??? why)
3. can't see when my fairy heals and that legit stresses me out, not sure if anyone else has this problem its probably just me

That's... honestly about it. The story is absolutely fantastic and certain moments in the narrative left me speechless. I'm one of those people who always talks to NPCs between quest turn-ins and this expac had the best banter by far. Soken utterly outdid himself with this soundtrack; I almost can't even bear to mute my game now that I'm done w the main story...

Also I have been waiting. what. four years? to see G'raha again and I was so happy to finally be able to talk to him once more!! Even though I guessed who the Exarch was about.........immediately it still doesn't matter. I'm still shocked that my main party is all still alive; happy but shocked. Also bonus points for making me feel for the Ascians even up to the very last moment I was trying so hard not to but couldn't really lie to myself after the end.

I mean this is it, this was what I was waiting for even though I didn't know it. Easily one of my fav FF titles, up there with FFVI and VII. Thanks, you guys.

For me it's a 10/10 ! It's the best expansion ever made for FFXIV, it's what we always wanted and now it's what we want in each patch and each expansion haha !

SHB is easily the worst expansion I have seen in any game in my life.

It has been a week now and I am still unable to play the game due to SE fantastic garbage update.

After 5.0, constant DX11 errors like everybody else in the tech forum, after the hotfix, even more errors and disconnects that prevent me from playing! Thank you for this truly garbage expansion SE!

My, My, My that is a gross exaggeration for a lv 78 pld to be saying. Now you are completely valid to hate it for technical issues, it plagued quite a few people this past week, i had to redo my lv70 dnc instance due to mass dc and couple days ago i survived what felt like a purge but you are being hyperbole in the extreme.

So since you clearly have been playing and decent amount at that what have you felt about stuff when you were playing the game?

Personally for me the expansion is a 8/10

i have knocked 0.5 for story due to Zenos he is not going to be anywhere near as good as Emet-Selch was.

1 point for how tedious some solo instances dragged, looking at you Thancred and Ran'jit and physical dps against Coeurlregina clone.

the other 0.5 is down to song transition in zones to the battle theme is jarring and aoe visuals may need to be changed again White + light orange = hard to see in cluster of mobs.

But seriously, I loved the story, I love Dancer, I love Viera, and I'd say this was absolutely worth the buy.

It's not without flaws, but what is? I give it a 10 because I was hyped for this expansion, and the story alone made sure it managed to live up to that for me.

It's hard to say entirely until the raids come out and all of 5.0 is really here, but it's looking great.

Story is better than ARR and SB, maybe better than HW. Certainly the best main villain the game has ever had. They also really sold the sense of hopelessness and 'fallen' state of the world in the early stages well.

While I have some nitpicks in the story, all around I loved it.

My only big complaint is that the First is rather...unfriendly towards RP because of how exceedingly difficult travel there is and how specific and singular the circumstances bringing the WOL and Scions there are. So unless someone RPs as the WOL, which most people don't do because rp is interactive and the story is written for a singular WOL protagonist, or you RP a character native to the first, it's rather difficult to actually explain why your character would end up on the First. Where as in say SB, it was much easier to explain someone being in Gyr Abania or Othard without having to specifically follow the main story.

Playing for 30 minutes only to crash and then sit in the queue for an hour or more is not my definition of playing.

I'm persistent in what I do and I tried to fix their disaster of a patch in every way possible, still no-go. I spent the entire week repeating that behaviour. Crash, sit in queue for an hour or more, crash again in 20-30 minutes, rinse and repeat for a week because I assumed they would fix it.

Yet here we are, with the same issues still present.

I stand by what I said, -10/10 considering I couldn't enjoy ANY of it due to the problems brought by SE that are STILL not fixed mind you.
