Not being short is probably the biggest reason for most. Which is odd if you think about it, I'm still getting use to it myself tbh.Their voices have made it a tougher sell for me. I can’t settle on a battle voice yet. I will be tryin them out soon, but I need to do more testing
General reasons I can see them not totally taking over:
-Not smol
-Emotes are stern / non-cutesy
-Hair is limited
-Head gear is limited
Not at all. I find it difficult to play any tall character after playing a lalafell. The different camera angle is disorienting and makes even well known places unfamiliar.
In spite of my earlier critical thread, I find myself liking Viera. They look both cute and formidable. This lalafell definitely wouldn't want to get on the bad side of one.![]()

I honestly don't get this, lol.
Being tall is exactly what bunny does. So for anyone who wants to be short--rolling a bunny is like defying logic and it confuses the heck out of me! If people want to be short--there are literally short races. Why pick one of the tallest if tall isn't their desire?
I love being tall, because the taller/bigger I am--the easier I am to see my character's position in a stack of players. I could never play a short character and get lost in the crowd.
I ended up switching to Elezen before release for a bit so I could get used to the height differences. I absolutely love my viera though, I don't think I'll be going back to Au Ra or Miqo but I do have alts of those races lol.
